Well, Adam himself has shown that he can handle himself in a fight, take down armies of robots, and pose a threat to Team RWBY several times. But while this is Impressive, it pales in comparison to the stuff Neo has shown, especially with him scaling to Dante and several other demonic beings.

That's the best explanation I can give other than Adam is screwed.

Carol has Binary mode but Shazam has the power of the 13 gods. Plus Danvers can absorb energy based attacks like say....Mega Man's Mega Buster. But she can't absorb magic. And that's Batson's thing

Plus Shazam is way stronger way durable and way faster (I think) than Danvers. Carol might've done some heroic things but Shazam is way too dangerous than her.
