Umm we give her this special labrador puppy food the vet recommended, yeah lol shes gets gas from some of her treats! lol

LOL..if you want to have her changed to a different food..INNOVA large breed puppy food (dry food) is very good and it helps eliminate their tummy issues. I switched Cassie to that. Also..think about keeping her on puppy food for at least a year and a half of age..because retriever bone maturity reaches its age around that time..it helps prevent bone issues later in life. Just some info!

OH YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Labs are SUPER CHEWERS!!!! Give her anything HARD. A hard bone..a hard ball toy..rope tug toys...and alot of them!!! Do not give soft cute stuff toys..it will be destroyed in a NY minute. Also...instead of taking something away that she should not chew on..leave it and tell her No firm!

For instance..your sneaker..she grabs it a chews...take it out of her mouth..FIRMLY SAY NO..give her a toy of hers instead to chew on..drop the sneaker where it was and go about ur day..keep repeating those steps till she gets it. She will get it fast! They learn fast. Bottom line you dont want to hide everything in the house..she has to respect what is not HERS!

Also start teaching her now..she has to work for pets, she has to work for food, she has to work for any treat. Start with SIT. To eat..she has to sit first. To get a pet on the head..she has to sit first. Say SIT once and point back towards her but. ONLY ONCE SAY IT..then push her but down in a sit position..and say SIT again...then say good girl. Keep the commands simple..they dont understand sentences. In a week she will be sitting for anything you want!

yeah she already sits and she even knows paw, we are very strict and she has to sit before treats, food and pets. Now when she meets a stranger she sits first until they pet her then she jumps around a bit. Also the treats we give her are good but do you know the best treats we could give her? we only give her them as positive reinforcements for really good behavior and obeying us. So we give her about 1 a day.

it is ok..always remember...ANY dog has the capability to bite..but they do it for a reason:

Fear/Scared, protection, dominant...in the wild dominant alpha dogs will bite the lesser in order to communicate thier feeling.

If you begin to think like that and understand it..then you will be able to not be nervous anymore. And you can do it!
