Pretty good, I'm attempting at Photoshop but it's still very new to me. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon. And you?

Meh the art has been so-so I want to make my star ships more curved and rounded to make them look more futuristic, because I feel my current style is getting redundant; but as of yet, I have yet to produce anything worth showing off. *Sigh* ... I'll get the hang of it though.

With practise I'm sure you'll get it! It's always hard trying out new techniques at first but I look forward to seeing what you do!

You're most welcome.
Not much really. We're finally having a bout of sunny weather so that's great. :sun And getting long overdue new furniture so hopefully I should be able to organise my artwork a bit better now.
Anything new with you?

Well, not much, it is finally the weekend here ; and that means I get to go to my dad's house! Next weekend I get to go to my grandparent's house in Louisiana for Easter, and the only thing I can regret is the 5 hour drive through small hick-towns with 5 mph speed limits to get there. School is alright, but I'm totally sucking at algebra and the state tests are coming up

Really? I go to my dad's at the weekends too.
Louisiana sounds nice, despite the long drive. How long are you staying there for?
Ah, it's the holidays up here, so no school. I'm glad, I wrote a fair few too many essays that past term.
Algebra? I find with that I do fine in class. Then when I come back the next day I've forgotten how to do it.
The only advice I have, is practise a lot until it sticks! Maybe ask your teacher for a worksheet on algebra, or if you have to take home your heavy textbooks like we do, skim through them for some problems. Or look online. Just practise so it gets in your head.

Thanks for the advice, and my school is currently holding after school programs every Thursday that I am going to, but asking the teacher for extra work wouldn't hurt either.
I'm staying in Louisiana just for a weekend, because , now get this, I have to go back to school on THE DAY AFTER EASTER > : (
Thankies for the watch btw!

Us too! On Easter Monday. D:< Why we couldn't have the holidays a week later is beyond me. No time to enjoy the chocolate.
You're welcome, I would have done it sooner, but I thought I was already watching you. Silly me.

VoracticTempest In reply to QuirkBiscuits [2009-04-05 21:59:20 +0000 UTC]
The reason the district said we couldn't have Monday thru Wednesday off is because of the low amount bad weather days remaining ; but we have bad weather days built into the year in case hurricanes or tornadoes come through. Maybe the school board is retarded?
Btw we've only used 1 BWD for a hurricane back in September.
You're welcome, I would have done it sooner, but I thought I was already watching you Silly me.
Lol; that's happened to me a lot of times .

QuirkBiscuits In reply to VoracticTempest [2009-04-06 09:20:47 +0000 UTC]
Rofl, maybe.
A hurricane, wow. I used to go to a school in the countryside so I got a lot of BWDs, for snow and blizzards. And once my mum was driving me and a few other kids and it was so icy she just turned around and drove us all back again. But then, we didn't really have a limit, if the school was closed, it was closed. It's not quite the same in the academy, I haven't had a single weather-related day off there.

Snow, blizzards? I wish I could get snow here; all we get is hail.
Sound like your mom is like mine, if the sirens go off just once, it doesn't matter if it clears up, we're going to stay home; which isn't a bad thing .

QuirkBiscuits In reply to VoracticTempest [2009-04-07 13:20:12 +0000 UTC]
Hail's no good. We get that a lot too.
Haha, yeah, it's good to have a better-safe-than-sorry mum in most cases, when it comes to weather anyway.

Yeah
So....*tries to keep conversation going* Do you like video games?

QuirkBiscuits In reply to VoracticTempest [2009-04-08 09:02:10 +0000 UTC]
I like video games. I wouldn't say I'm a pro at all, I flip out when I play Halo and the like because I'm a bit of a panic-shooter. I'm okay at any kind of racing game, and those games with the dance mats. How about you, got a favourite game?

VoracticTempest In reply to QuirkBiscuits [2009-04-09 02:55:35 +0000 UTC]
I'm love video games, especially shooters of any kind, first or third person it makes no difference.
But if I had to name favorites, lets see....
1. Dead Space
2. Call of Duty 5
3. Gears of War 2
4. Halo 2 & 3
5. Ace Combat Zero
In that order!
So as you can see, my face is practically glued to either a computer or television screen almost 24 hours a day.
I should probably get outside more .

QuirkBiscuits In reply to VoracticTempest [2009-04-09 10:20:41 +0000 UTC]
Haha. The only one's I've tried out of those are Call of Duty (number 2 though) and Halo 2. My brother likes to hog them though. I often go multiplayer with him.
Outside...hmm, where's that again?
I hear you, during the holidays my friends are all off galivanting abroad so I'm always playing video games and spending time on the computer.

Isn't it weird to look back on those consoles, and think that they were state of the art at one time?
Man how times have changed.

I know...I remember seeing my cousin's GameBoy Colour and thinking it was the best thing ever...now check out that crazy DSi...
And then there's the Xbox 360. I'm getting all nostalgic now.

And lets not get started with the NES.
Xbox 360; the best thing I ever spent 400 dollars on.

My brother's been pining for one ever since it came out, but we already have an Xbox. Could you tell me what it is you like best about it? I've been thinking about it as his birthday present.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
VoracticTempest In reply to QuirkBiscuits [2009-04-16 00:48:10 +0000 UTC]
The good things, all right:
The 360 has awesome graphics
It has a strong line up of games.
It is relatively inexpensive, unless you buy the Elite or different attachments for it.
Has a good online community that is well organized, but is hard as hell to get connected to.
That's the only ones I can think of right now, but unfortunately the thing is plagued with various technical problems, but if your bro takes good care of it, nothing should go wrong.

Thanks a lot! You're a great help. You're right about the games, it seems everything is for the 360 these days. I think he wants it just for Halo 3.
Seems pretty good.

Anytime ! Just tell him not to move the console while a disc is in the thing, that's how it ruined my copy of Halo 3; but Oh well I got another.
