1. I'm a little confused about this question, but your character can come from anywhere in the Pokemon world (That's logical) if that's what you're asking.
2. No, they don't need the background. I just give mine that because it's fun.
3. You will encounter Pokemon on your journey and capture them. You may only start with one.
Read the rules, and you'll understand. ^^

50 PIXELS by 50 PIXELS. Just do to "Attributes" in Paint, and set both things to 50.

Big? No, quite the contrary; it is tiny. My avatar if full-size. It's even smaller than the dimensions of a Pokemon sprite, which are 64 by 64.
