no prob man, I've been down south as you know, and at times I hated it so much, I quit my job twice and went off to make hippy art. I was getting pretty comfortable at millennium, but it felt wrong, I wanted to make pretty stuff. I think there may be a big future in this visionary sculpture, and yours is definately visionary man. Check out the balinese sculpture!

Hello there....
I was searching for some ideas.... I've been entered in to a national competition held at Blackpool Winter Gardens on March 22nd... It'll be my first attempt at making a prosthetic piece and have been told that if I do it in more than one piece, I have a chance of coming somewhere on technicality points alone... thing is it's sci-fi and I have a problem with sticking to one idea and perfecting it....tbh.... I have trouble with the initial idea... we have limited sources as a college.... and the lecturers have little/aged experience in this area.... I would love for you to get in contact....as your work has truly inspired me.... I'm currently living in the midlands

Not sure if you wanted some advice on the technical side of prosthetics,mould making casting etc,or the creative side to it creature designing?
If you need any beginners guides theres a great forum called effectslab and they have full tutorials showing you the process,if that might help?

Thanks for the quick response, my head is in the shed at the minute. The technical side I think I have covered, thanks to my old school lecturer, although I guess I was asking for any hints and tips. I suppose the sculpting side comes with practice. I'll check out the forum, and come back to you. once I know in my own head what it is I want ask (like I said "my head is in somewhere other than o my shoulders, at the minute).... sometimes I get an overload of ideas, which then shuts my brain off. So if I can pick your brains in the future, I'd be most grateful.
