Umm I'm out for Christmas break. Colleges always get off early. And yes, I'm doing both. Just finished my third semester (and third class) at college and I graduate high school in June.

Yay! So you aren't even out of high school yet and you're like 3/4 of the way through your first year at college!? You're amazing! (if this is just me totally not understanding how homeschooling works, ignore me hahah )

Well, I've been procrastinating on my science fair project and so I've been (not really) working on that. A few months back I also decided to kinda redo my room after my parents bought me a new desk and I've been working on finishing that up. I've been reading and sketching and doing holiday stuff (shopping, decorating, baking cookies , etc.). So I guess I haven't been that busy, but between the stuff that I have to do and being completely lazy, I've felt busy.

What about you? How was Christmas?

Christmas was awesome. I've been writing writing writing constantly! For me, that's just been a great break and I really hope I have time to keep going once the semester starts again.

My science fair question is which brand of nail polish is most chip resistant? I like the project that I've come up with but the extra work and papers that I have to write for it are ridiculous and I have a horrible habit of asking myself, "You aren't going to need this in 10 years, why is this relevant?". School just bugs me like I know the teachers want to make everyone well rounded but its hard for me to try to understand why we need to know how to balance chemical equations or how to combine polynomials. Sorry, I probably sound really depressing and naive but I just need to vent sometimes and you always seem to understand what I'm saying.

My break was fabulous! I've still got a few more days until I have to go back to school but I've really enjoyed just being able to draw and read without having to worry about homework.

So what is your major? I think you told me once but I've forgotten (sorry )

I certainly do understand. I frequently ask myself what I'll ever need polynomials for. Lol among other things... A lot of it you probably won't need, but it's still good to learn just in case I suppose. Then there's the flipside: just get through it and graduate! What grade are you in, btw?

I have exactly those thoughts! I'm in 8th grade right now. High school is just around the corner! I swear, it feels like I've been in middle school for a decade!

Kids are awesome, they're honest and utterly adorable.

I have actually! I'm not 100% sure about it, but I want to be either a storyboard artist or a character designer for Pixar and so studying something along the lines of animation or some form of art. I still have a while to think about it though. 

So when does your winter break end? Or is it over already?

Same! Not all that excited about going back though. I'll miss the laid back feeling that Christmas brings.
