naruto has actually gotten really good. i'm looking forward to the next chapter. bleach is at that awkward "we just finished a major fight and now we all have to recover and set up the next arc" phase which will take a good three chapters to get out of. we'll probably get some interesting stories during that time, but nothing much will happen...

hey Liz. Got my tablet a few hours ago! HELLZ yes!!! Been addicted to it ever since. Writing is A bit rocky but not too bad overall really. Drawing is fucking amazing. photoshop is a bitch if you're too lazy to look up any tutorials at all... where the hell is the blend tool? is there not a blend tool? that sucks...how exactly does the dodge and burn tool work here? its all different from gimp and will take some getting used to. the tablet itself though was pretty easy to get the hang of, though. fifteen minutes and i got it no problem. tomorrow i'll probably be digital painting all day. already did my first piece, just a sketchy thingy. after i get the basics of photoshop and such, i'll probably get a livestream so people can teach me how to do the cooler stuff in photoshop. i've been having so much fun but now my hand is tired which is why i'm typing to you. i'll probably go back and do a sketchdump or something. i dont want to work on my main work anymore...too much trouble. i'd rather go and experiment. god i love my tablet...it needs a name. let's see. my laptop's name is Midas...what about...Medea! they sort of sound like they go together, and while midas turned everything to gold Medea helped with the quest for the golden fleece! symbolically brilliant. k i should shut up now...sigh...i loves my tablet <3

um yeah photoshop is different from gimp, thats why no one uses gimp, cause photoshop works a lot better for illustrating xD

actually, gimp has pretty much the same features, just way less conveniently organized.
ur not telling me how to use dodge and burn?! u mean i actually have to watch a tutorial somewhere?! haha, sarcasm there if you couldn't tell. i don't think i really need dodge and burn that much. although i am lamenting the loss of a blendy tool of some sort...there's the blur tool...but that's not the same thing...

oh well yeah i could tell you but i'll warn you, if you burn too much it turns reddish. it's the same tool as something else, i forget which it is but you have to select from 3 options, dodge, burn and something else... it should be right near the sponge/blur tool

hmmmm...well i have a sponge tool, and i have a blur tool, and also a custom shapes and gradients tool, but no sign of a dodge or burn. there's a darken option in blur, but it doesn't seem to do anything that i can see. there's also a dodge/burn thing in paint brush options, OH WAIT THERE WE GO I UNDERSTAND NOW. now why didn't that work before...? whatever. thanks, this conversation led me to discovery! wait...burning it twice turns it black...whatever still works. i think. kind of inconvenient that they set it up that way...WHOA COOOOL these overlay options are cool too...what does the sponge tool do? oh it changes the colors...wait what? why the hell does it do that? what exactly is the sponge tool FOR? i love that you can click a button and make layers invisible. it's great. i gotta go finish this project now....

you can still have levels in gimp, they're just not convenient. stop railing on gimp! he was my boyfriend for months before i broke up with him this week and went out with photoshop instead!
hmmmm....are you sure you can change the strength of the burn? there's opacity option, buuuuut...man i got like the stupidest version of photoshop ever. no smudge tool, no easily used burn tool....shit man....

it was good! got the biggest audience any of us have ever seen at one of these shows and got rave reviews. it was awesome but now im like FUCKKKKK
i have to edit my essay, rewrite one paragraph, write my conclusion, make sure it's 4 pages, find new quotes, do the math part of my precalc project, work on the problem set, and i just totally completely derailed... oh well.

i just edited sarah's paper, and she mine. fun times. i might possibly be feeling confident enough to print it out now maybe. oh yeah, and no worries about missing new chapters. nothing's up yet. dont know if there will be anything this week...
