Yay, maybe we'll get along well. I study demonology like all the time. We should do an art trade. Yesh. hope you enjoy the art.

I'm sure we will, i contact the spirit realm fairly often, and once made a pact with satan. (I'm not crazy, I'v studied phycology for two years) that would be good, but i am quite new to this site, so have no idea how to trade art with someone. Β

ShadowArt666 In reply to gothjosh [2013-11-12 16:16:19 +0000 UTC]

yay then, I Β can teach you. ^^ Art trades are fun and good for practice. Usually I'd create an OC for someone and they would do the same for me, and we would collaborate on what medium and such we'd like the piece in. And then we trade them so that the character is owned by the person we made it for, so they can use it any way they wish to.Β

So if someone requested that I did an art trade of, say, my version of Beleth (who happens to be a favorite), then I would request something equal to that in most areas, so I could request a different demon like Lamashtu. ^^ It's really fun, and not as hard as it looks.Β

gothjosh In reply to ShadowArt666 [2013-11-12 16:49:15 +0000 UTC]

sounds good! I'd like that! (i don't know what an oc is though.) my favorite demon is "lord of the flies" (Beelzebub). I'll look forward to a challenge of my skill. Β  Β  Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowArt666 In reply to gothjosh [2013-11-12 17:17:48 +0000 UTC]

an OC is an original character. Someone (or something) you made up as your own. Or a revision of real stuff. It looks like you do traditional art; this is good because I don't do digital, I enjoy making a mess with my shading of graphite too much.Β

So how shall we do this art trade?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

gothjosh In reply to ShadowArt666 [2013-11-12 17:48:47 +0000 UTC]

oh right! well I,v got an oc, that demon picture i draw with the four horns is my "character", It's an illustration of my inner demon (it doesn't actually have a name). well demons are "common ground" as it were, so how about you do your own illustration of of beelzebub (not the anime!) using my favored medium ball point pen sketches? and I'll do whatever you suggest. Β  Β Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowArt666 In reply to gothjosh [2013-11-12 18:20:06 +0000 UTC]

I don't actually own any ball-point pens. Hahah, just wasn't in my criteria for too long. But if graphite isn't okay, I'll use ink of some sort. (I never liked the anime Beelzebub.)Β

Your favored medium is ball-point pen, that's interesting. But can you use graphite?

And I don't have a favorite demon. The description of your OC sounds similar to Asag.Β

Hmm.. how about you do an illustration of Lamashtu; she is pretty cool and in the top ten of my favorites. If you don't know her history, then I would be more than happy to enlighten you.

gothjosh In reply to ShadowArt666 [2013-11-12 18:55:35 +0000 UTC]

no problem, graphite will be fine. I've always preferred ball point, you can't rub out any errors thus forcing me not make any mistakes in the first place! plus it takes more skill and a gentler hand to get the shading right in my opinion. i can use graphite no problem.Β

my demon is not inspired of any other, it appeared in a vision i had. it is a sort of alter ego of mine, a second persona as it were.Β

that would be good, I've herd of her before, but thank you anyway. Β Β

ShadowArt666 In reply to gothjosh [2013-11-12 21:10:12 +0000 UTC]

I see where you're coming from with that; I'm not saying that I suck with ball point pen. It just fell out of my repertoire as of a year ago. I really prefer making pieces with mediums that make me a mess, so I can come out of the project with proof that I worked hard on it. My close friend calls them 'artist birthmarks' so it kinda stuck.Β

I've been selling art lately, and no one buys any of the pen pieces I had from the past, and so I had to cut it out. Just like watercolor and oil paints. I am fair with pen. For ink, though, I use "markers" but they're artist's pens. And they're waterproof! ^^ Best part ever, especially when I was doing water color paintings.Β

Beelzebub might take some hours. It is currently 4:10 pm where I am now, and I should have it done before midnight. Β

Indeed I guess it was the Scandinavian vikings, "my" ancestors who sailed over to UK and pretty much pillaged and burned everything that became your ancestors as well...ehe...Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

gothjosh In reply to autumnprincess [2013-10-29 23:39:22 +0000 UTC]

the pillaging and burning thing was blown way out of proportion by early christians, they just got a bit sulky because they burned a few churches, and turned them into forts . my family name is seagrave, there's a village in lester named seagrave after a wealthy land barren who was a descendant of vikings. he was my grate, grate, grate (allot of grates!) grate granddad!!
