I saw your comment about the choice of Minato's bodyguards over on OM.

Was Kakashi in ANBU at that time? I do recall an ANBU-like outfit he was wearing right about the time of the Kyuubi incident.

Maybe his assignment at that time was a bit more specialized than that of Genma and Co.? I don't like some of the comments I've seen that state he wasn't included because of his chakra/stamina. That irks me, lol.

Minato did teach Kakashi the rasengan, which he can create one-handed. That's something Naruto can't do without hax assistance. If its revealed that he knows FTG, I can just hear the complaints now: "Why didn't he teach it to Naruto?" and the increasingly annoying "I bet he doesn't have enough chakra to use it" argument. Sigh.

Weirdly enough, I am kind of pondering the implications of sending all of the Kages and a Naruto clone up against Madara. Meanwhile, Kakashi, who was seconds away from becoming a Kage himself, is somewhere far, far away. Doing who knows what. Hmm. Is he being kept out of this fight for some other reason? An insurance policy of sorts? Or does Kishi have plans afoot?

Clues, Kishi. I need clues, lol! You're right, KF9, in that 3 measly pages of Copy-Nin screentime is not enough to satisfy my growing curiosity . . . and fangirl needs, lol.

Hahahah, I read your post yesterday night and it just lifted my spirits. Sometimes all I need is a little Kakashi talk to make me open my eyes after a couple hours of studying. lol

From what I can tell, it doesn't seem like Kakashi was with the anbu quite yet. He seemed to have the vest attire, but his gloves weren't the same as the anbu's. Plus he was interacting with Gai. Maybe it's from the influence of fanfictions, but I think anbu members would keep to themselves a little more while on the job. XD Hahahah.

In my opinion, I don't think Kakashi knows the flying thunder god, nor do I think he needs it. I mean, it would be an amazing technique, but it just doesn't quite fit the Kakashi persona. LOL. And for Kakashi not being able to use it, I admit, no matter how awesome Kakashi is, I also think he has a generally small chakra pool when COMPARED with those crazy people like Naruto and Sasuke. But that just makes me love him even more. He can hold his own against those super haxing people. :3

Hahahahah, it's a shame that Kakashi's lost all screen time until further notice. Yeah, I have a feeling that Madara will push those Kages to their limits. And then Tobi will be able to activate his Moon's Eye Plan. ... Then obviously Naruto would break free from it some how, one way or another. What I'm hoping is that if Tobi succeeds in activating the Moon's Eye Plan, I hope we get to see Kakashi's illusion. XD The illusion of the perfect world for Kakashi. (That is, if I remember the plan correctly. LOL It's been too long.)

You know, to satisfy all of my Kakashi needs, I would need a whole series dedicated solely to Kakashi instead of the amazing love story between Naruto and Sasuke. ._.

Yeah, I need a refresher on the Moon's Eye Plan as well. The way Madara described it in the current chapter, I suddenly pictured people collapsed on the ground as if they were caught unawares, looking as if they were asleep while their consciousness' were altered by the genjutsu.

Madara may not be so kind to Kakashi to grant him a perfect world, particularly if the Uchiha finds out Kakashi bears an advanced sharingan. Sasuke was pretty irked by seeing it when last they met; at best, Madara may be fascinated by it. Add the fact that Kakashi has survived (Kisame found this unusual) Itachi's Tsukiyomi, and Madara may choose to exclude Kakashi from exposure to the technique. Madara's reasons could range from a concern that Kakashi might be able to break the genjutsu, to a desire to decipher the circumstances surrounding Kakashi's sharingan, to a desire to make the non-Uchiha pay for wielding the clan's bloodline.

Possible?

Well, Sasuke seems simply like a vengeful child, who takes too much pride in his clan. Madara, the Edo Tensei one, he obviously has a huge ego, but something tells me he isn't as obsessed as Sasuke. As for Tobi, well.. Who knows what's going on in his head... I honestly have no speculation of who he is anymore. I previously already did not believe that he was Madara, but now I'm slightly lost. LOL

I love Kakashi, but I don't think he'll receive any 'special treatment'. If Kakashi couldn't break out of Itachi's Tsukuyomi, which Sasuke successfully did (which you might argue that Itachi was taking it easy on his little brother lol), I don't think Kakashi has a very high chance of breaking out of someone like Tobi's genjutsu. Although, I would LOVE it if Kakashi would be set aside for some other purpose. But that would be looking at it from a fanfiction perspective rather than the manga perspective. XD

(I recall reading about an interview with Kishimoto that he would explain how Kakashi received the mangekyou, but it doesn't seem likely... Which rather sucks, if I do say so myself. lol)
What I want to learn more about Kakashi: How exactly he got the sharingan, his anbu days, how he coped after Minato died (since everyone in his team practically left him alone...), Kakashi's exact reaction to his father's death... And probably his interactions with Tenzou when he was in anbu.
(And maybe if he ever interacted with Naruto when he was a child. It seems slightly absurd that Kakashi would ignore his teacher's only son... But then again, maybe I'm looking at it from a fanfiction perspective again. Fanfiction has corrupted how I look at characters now, but not necessarily in a bad sense. Hahahah.)

I think the two perspectives compliment each other. Looking at the manga as a fanfiction writer allows the reader to entertain several possible outcomes and expand upon hints that Kishi drops every now and then. Conversely, having the manga in mind while writing fanfiction keeps the author/ess on track and creates a standard for reviewers to use.

So you're not corrupted, lol. You've just thinking more . . . like a Kakashi-powered supercomputer!

Hmmm, I don't really think that's your place to say.

Don't get me wrong, but I get where you're going. When I was first exposed to fanfiction, I hated everything that involved yaoi with Kakashi. But after a while, I grew quite attached to it merely because if the story is written nicely, its the first time anyone can ever see Kakashi as someone who has fallen in love. Cannon or not, I have my reasons for why I find a couple (even if it's a male coupling) adorable.

Now, the yaoi that I CAN'T STAND with Kakashi include anything that makes him end up being some serial rapist/molester. (lol) Hahahahah, doesn't make sense right? But, anyway, crack pairings allow me to see a side of Kakashi that's never revealed in the manga and that's a reason to turn to fanfiction.

And you're probably venting in capital letters since you see that my profile explains how I love KakaNaru and just recently my journal entry is discussing KakashixTenzou.
The reason for Kakashi and Naruto; at first, I merely fell in love with a father-son relationship, but when fanfictions turned scarce, I timidly acknowledged them as a couple to see more interactions between them. And... apparently it converted me. (LOL) And if you want to play with age, in my opinion, I don't really see how it matters. If people can accept gay love in this world today, as long as people are in their right mind, I don't see how age difference should get in the way. And it's not like the stories I read are about lust...

KakashixTenzou: Well... I'm not sure how to explain this one. Hahahah, I guess I fell in love with the subordinate/leader relationship between them.

If you're asking me if I think this will ever happen in the manga, my answer would bluntly be HELL NO. XD Hahahah, crack pairings are for my enjoyment only and I shall not let that interfere with how the story really is.

(And for my KakaNaru fondness, Kakashi is in not exactly a pedophile. He's not this grown man going around raping little children... I think people need to understand the definition a little before accusing him of being one whenever he's paired with a person younger than himself. ._. The pairing I look for is not about Kakashi laying with another person, but merely a shounen-ai interaction...)

I'm not sure how old you are, but when I was younger, I had a hard time looking at any typical pairing with Kakashi. But somehow, I guess this acception comes with age. I'm not saying that you can't have your point of view though. You might not believe me, but I completely understand where you're coming from. But it doesn't mean that I don't understand reasons for crack pairings.

Neither side should be torn against each other merely because of one disagreement.

So, what are you thinking in regards to Kakashi's next fight? Kabuto, perhaps? Or the Madara wannabe? Heaven help Kabuto if he decides to throw an Edo'd Sakumo in Kakashi's path! I can see him trying something desperate like that should the Copy-Nin get to close to his cave/lair. Don't know if the Edo rules would permit a Sakumo summon, though, considering that the elder Hatake apparently crossed over. However, it's a great "What if?" to consider.

And then there's the whole MS mystery still unsolved. Be it villain or hero, someone needs to dish on that soon.
