Wow. I just saw an article on you in a magazine and remember thinking how amazing your work was. It's artists like you that inspired me to pursue photography as a major. (And It's amazing that you've worked with the Dresden dolls, my favorite band.) It's great that you have a DA account. ^_^

All righty then! Always glad to help out. Its an honor in its own right to make somebody else happy. Not to mention the fact that you are waking me up from my digital slump as of late.

Any who, I’ve got a few quick questions here for you that help me tailor the icon to you. The avatar is often one of the first things you see when you find a new artist, and as you get to know their work, it really ends up being an image that people associate with your individual personality. I’ve got no doubts that you will soon be quite well known, cause your work is nothing to sneeze at! So I hope you don’t mind the little survey, but I want the image to say a little something about you, and not just end up as one of those annoying cliché things. You and your talent deserve something a bit more thought out.

Here goes:

-Firstly, do YOU have any ideas about what you would like to see, or do I have complete free reign?
-Any preferences on the focus of the icon? Human, animal (cause that kitten is still quite cute), abstract, machine, plant life?
-Do you have a picture of yourself that I could see? (Even if you would prefer that I not use a portrait of you in the icon, it often helps me to get a little better sense of you.)
-what are a few words that best describe you?
-do you play any instruments? And what is the tool you most often use in your art?
-are you looking for something humorus, or more serious?
-(now I don’t mean to pry, and you can feel free to ignore this question if you so desire,) but how old ARE you? Your devious information is rather helpful in answering several of the other questions that I usually ask people when doing this, but not in the age category. You don’t have to give me a specific if you are bashful about it… but a rough approximation would really aid my attempts to get an idea of your personality.
-and you ARE a guy, yes? Just double checking, you can never be too careful with these things.

Wow, that sounds like the stupid magazine quiz from hell or something. You know, those idiotic little quizzes they put in brain dead fashion magazines, like ‘how to know if he’s cheating on you’ or ‘is it time for you to pluck your eyebrows’ … sigh … can you tell that I’m not really one of those women who picks up magazines very often? (actually, the only time I buy them is when I need new reference material for drawing from. Shampoo adds tend to have great facial images…)

Your work is quite good. I was very impressed. I noticed that you don't have an avatar yet, and thought I might offer my services as a little thank you for putting up a gallery that brightened my day a little. I do custom made avatars and such from time to time, and wondered if you would be interested?
