im currently contemplating going to taiwan for 2 days. If its just as **** as mainland then i cbf, which is why i need to know if theres anything to do there other than walk around and take pictures.
Also, is taiwan similar to hong kong ? And do you guys over there speak either english or cantonese (my mandarin sucks badly in all aspects)?

p.s leaving china on dec 15th, so i got some time to make my choice.

Havent really considered night markets cause my family in china kept on warning me about drainage oil. Should i be aware of anything like fake eggs, fake rice, blackmail etc??? Im getting the impression that taiwan is just a mandarin version of hong kong.
