I'm incredibly interested in 3D modeling and animation, and sort of ashamed to say that i know little to nothing about it. But anywho, i was wondering if u could tell me how much the software you're using costs? And any tips for a beginner...

well if you want to buy 3ds max I'll cost you like $3000,- max doesn't come cheap and is like the most expensive 3D software out there. If you really want to buy it, you're best off with buying an old version from someone. Let's say 5. And then upgrade it. Because upgrades cost less

wow, i had no idea that software could reach that price?! i will take your advice and look for a lesser program, seeing as how i know next to nothing about what i would be doing anyway i wouldn't want to spend a ton of money on something that i cannot understand. Thank you for your time and help.
