Yes, the nice thing about being twins, we can outvote people if we want. Yay! for some good natured twin bullying!
I'm sorry to hear that things are monotonous ~ is it work that's making your eyes glaze over? There were times when I was working as a welder on second shift ( which is 3pm until midnight ) that I thought I would fall over face first like a zombie from the repetitive work I had to do. It was like being on auto pilot.
We're doing alright Thank you very much kind sir for asking. My sister says " Hello there!"
What is your area of the country like? From what I understand, India is a very diverse mix of cultures and languages.. I think my father told me there were 100 official languages ! Is that true?

pankajmisri In reply to LadyBlakeney [2005-07-20 17:32:23 +0000 UTC]
hahaha dangerous but good natured twins
.
well the work as well as the daily routine is gettin monotonous.Get up at 6:30 AM catch the office bus at 8 , work there till 6:15 PM in the evening that too if ur lucky enough and your manager doesnt come up with some more work when you are about to leave .Get back home have dinner, surf for some time and sleep and so on....
you used to work till midnight no wonder you felt like a zombie.Once I had to stay till midnight for one whole week and i got so frustrated that I started thinking of leaving the job.I guess we should not play around with our body clock.
thats nice to hear, that you people are doing good. You two sisters are brilliant writers.I read some of the journals on Rio's page and I am totally amazed by them.
I am from northern most part of India ( Jammu nad Kashmir ) but currently I am in Pune (Maharashtra) Western part of India .I am not sure what you mean by area do you mean climate or culture wise ?Well it snows in Kashmir where I am originally from but here in Pune it doesnt. The Climate in Pune reamins pleasant for most part of the year with lots rains during this part of year.
Well yes you are right India is such a diverse Country with 28 states. And across all these states culture and langaguage varies and in some cases even within the states there is language and cultural difference . I guess there are 14 official languages but yes there are many more languages which are not official . So your father is right to some extent. Has he been to India ?
India is soo diverse that I will need to write a book to explain everything

We've never been to India, but I'm fascinated by it. I should probably get a few books from the library and read about it. Just fascinating! Misha ( KagomeRessurected) tells me she's from the Punjabi region? I hope I got that right. That's in the northern parts of Indian isn't it? She tells me that their dress and their cuisine are different from those who live further south. She educated me after I told her there was a sari store in town, and I really wanted to go inside and explore, but I was afraid I would commit some horrible social breach of politeness, that I weas too intimidated to go inside! I didn't want to offend anyone. But Misha told me that her family wore punjabis, and she sent me a picture to show me how they were diffenet from saris. She said saris were worn by southern Indians. I hope I remembered all of that correctly.
I'm sorry that work is so monotonous ~ you're working in the computer field aren't you? That means you must be excellent with math and numbers and such. Is it the fact that youre doing the same sort of thing every day, or do you not enjoy the type of work youre doing?

pankajmisri In reply to LadyBlakeney [2005-07-29 17:04:45 +0000 UTC]
then you should visit India .
Yeah you are right Punjab comes in the northern part of India and yes Misha is Punjabi kuddi ( kuddi means grl in punjabi hehehe ) but i guess she once told me her parents used to live in Kashmir, where I am from. Yes the north Indian
cuisine is totally different from south Indian cuisine. Its more richer in calories .
Well you should go ahead and visit that sari store ,you can ask somebody out there how to wear sari .I guess by punjabi she meant Shalwar kameez .well most north Indians women wear that .But i have to disagree on the part that sari's are worn by only south Indians. In north India Sari's are mostly worn during special Occasions like Marriages, festivals, parties etc. Its not Punjabi’s
are not worn during these occasions but most of the time you will see
women wearing sari's on special occasions. But in day to day life women wear Shalwar Kmaeez coz it's no hassles like sari. These days western outfits are gaining popularity . And the way you wear sari also varies from region to
region. Girls look hot in sari's
Yeah i am in computer field .these days the things are monotonus otherwise they are pretty interesting .But i guess things are improving and i am giving time to other things which interest me .

Girls in saris are hot... you silly guy!
Thank you so much for the information! It was fascinating. Now, are saris strictly the kind i see that are like long dresses, worn to the ankles? Or can they have pants? I saw some outfits in the shop window that were short sleeved shirts with short pants that came to the knee, and they were beaded and brightly colored. I knew they probably weren't called saris, but i didn't know what I should call them.

pankajmisri In reply to LadyBlakeney [2005-08-30 05:33:19 +0000 UTC]
haha you dont belive. well it depends on in which style you wear Sari. Belive me they look hot
Its difficult for me to exaplian but you can check out this link i searched where you can get
the information about "Sari" -->> [link]
NO ,Sari's cant have pants .Its a looooong peice of cloth.I am not sure what you saw at the Store .I have never seen that kind of dress .Maybe its from some other part of india
Are you originally from USA or what i guess is that you are from Ireland ?

I'm American, actually. But I went to school in Ireland when I was a teenager. It's been mentioned a few times, so it's probably a bit confusing.
Sari's dont have pants?! What was I looking at then?! I feel all turned around now.
I'll go have a look at the link you sent me ~ it was so nice of you to do that. Youve been very patient about my fashion questions, when most men would run screaming into the hills. Of course, that would just put you back up there with Mr. Big Ear, wondering why the heck you're back again.

Oh ok.how long did u stayed in Ireland and how was your experince over there? One of my friend is in UK he told me its a beautiful place. Do Irish people also wear kilts ?
I guess you must be looking at shalwar kameez or punjabi which Misha mentioned.
Hahaha well i ran out of my patience and went to the hills agian this weekend
But this time i didnt find Mr Big EAR but i came across Mr Shy Guy ( a water snake ). He was very shy and just popped his head few times out of his water tank. Didnt give me a chance to take his good pic but i managed to take one.Its not a great pic will put it in scraps.

I was in Ireland for over 4 months, back when I was a teenager. Rio and I attended school up in the northern part, near Belfast. It's beautiful country, but very very cold in the winter, and it rains almost constantly. I had to give up bothering to do my hair early on, because it just got rained on and plastered to my head. They have weather that is very much like Scotland, but they don't wear kilts traditionally. Some Irish families have tartans, but not like the Scottish. But there's an interesting twist to this ~ Northern Ireland ( the top 9 counties) used to be united to the republic of Ireland, until around the time of the English king Henry 8th. He was having trouble trying to keep the Irish subjects in line, so he took away the land of several important families that were living in the northern part of the country, and gave the land to English and Scottish subjects who were loyal to him. This was called the Ulster Plantation of 1608-09. The people he took the land from were Irish and Catholic in religion, and Henry 8th was a Protestant king, so the English and Scottish subjects he gave the land to were also Protestant. And so the fighting over the country began. And it is still happening to this day.
Mr Shy Guy ~ you have such funny names.
I would like to meet your Mr Shy Guy, of course from a great distance. Aren't your water snakes poisonous?
