Hey, I found you
NICE STUFF.
I don't know how you do it, but in alot of your drawings you really captured the era.

What a lovely gallery you have here! Beautiful artwork with such a great variety in your drawings and style. A very unique style indeed, with a good cast of characters, put well to work into your stories

I really like your work, but I suggest doing Redwall fan art, like that picture of Laterose you did on your old account.

Eh, not quite as cool as Sicily x) We went out to the desert in California where Patton trained troops for North Africa (on the way to Arizona). Where Patton's from is actually really close to where I live 8D
Oh really? Where's Knutsford?
France??? Lucky O.O What are you going to do there? If I was going, I'd have to go find some still-existing WWI trenches

wow well california looks a lot like sicily (on tv)
knutsford's in cheshire which is south of manchester - its one of the wealthiest places in britain!!! im not though - i just went to school there! lol - but it was in the film 'patton'
yeah hopefully ill do some trench hopping - we're going to bouzincourt just north of albert - not far to la boiselle! ive been loads of times - there're still shells everywhere - best kept trenches are in belgium though - been there lots too

Maybe something to do with the Mediterranean climate we share
lol maybe you just spent all your money on your uniforms
Well spent, though, in my humble opinion.
Oh awesome- you should take some pictures to share with the rest of us!

hahahahahahahaa i have got loads of pics of the trenches at 'sanctuary wood' and i met a really old guy whos dad had been chaplain general of canada, and he'd fought there, to the last bullet and then some, even though he was a chaplain, he was dealing with the wounded and helping with the dead until all his stretcher bearers were wounded as well - then he grabbed a rifle and joined in - he got captured with a mound of dead germans round him - the only reason they spared him was because he was a chaplain - even then he escaped!!!! incredible isnt it? and ive stood in those trenches! i thin there's a couple of pics of it on da...

GeneralVyse In reply to sketchysquirrel [2007-04-23 22:43:50 +0000 UTC]
same here - i know where he fought and that he was wounded - i dont think he thought it would be interesting to talk about - i think he wasnt bothered about the war afterwards tbh - another grandparent was pretty shaken by it all - he didnt want to talk about it...

No, it's all cool with me! I don't know enough about the period to tell the difference. What I do know is that I have a cool uniform and a ship. Yeaaaaah 8D
This whole thing is really neat. It's making me want to do another attempt at drawing a WWI-style group pic. Hmmm -plots-

do it! do it! do it!
thats good though - me i dont know the uniforms really - jones is kinda terrifying though if you get them wrong so i was extra careful here
it was the face for yours; it was loosely (very) based on the dudey self portrait you did, but i couldnt manage to copy it so i had to go half way...
