Try editing it. I've gone through each piece dozens of times, and still find stuff that should be slightly different for grammatical or punctuational consistency.

Not to mention consistency for speech patterns. Inlé talks differently than anyone else. Various types of creatures speak in certain patterns.

And one character I haven't introduced yet here has such a garbled mouth that I'll probably have to pull all of his lines out to run them through without anything between them. Like, twice. But I do so love the old coot.

You do! I've never seen anyone comment in a way that I could hear a person talking like that, most people write like "OMG, ur 2 kewl" and put no thought into it, its refreshing to see someone actually put some effort in.

I'm more apt to 'l33tsp33k' in speech than in prose, I suppose. But only to a very small degree. I'm fluent in l33t, geek, nerd, and dweeb, am passable with english, and dabble in a variety of languages, but I try to stick with conversational english for the sake of uniform conversation.

Plus, english is ambiguous enough without inserting extra 'found' words. I can't think of another language where an article of clothing is made of exhausted breath(pants). Although the Japanese eat with bridges ...

Of course. Your style's dark and bitter, but it's also sweet sometimes. You're a dark chocolate writer. It keeps things interesting.
