You're welcome, if you figured out the new code could you tell it me?
I'm a html noob and figured only out how I can make that a new note + the Recipient appears but I don't know how I can add the subject, too.

Does anyone know if it's possible for gallery folder icons to change upon hovering? I remember seeing this effect in some galleries, though it was a while ago... Is this option still available?

Check either personally with `thespook or look at his journal page, I seem to recall something there about hovering effects. I'm sure he can help you!!

I see well first off do you have a subscription? Because if you don't, you can't change your font.
if you do there are several tutorials on dA that will show you what to do.
here is a really good list of tutorials [link]

Hi there
I don't know if this is the right place to post my question, but I hope so
I would like to know how to add a subject into a note link.
I figured out the link to note someone is e.g. http://my.deviantart.com/notes/?to=Tifa22 . How can I add a subject (for example Contest Entry) to the note?
Thanks for answering

Just to let you know, I do believe that this won't work with dA v7. They have a completely new way of creating new notes.

Is it possiable to change the font color in a custom box?

dot-Silver In reply to JRCnrd [2010-03-16 03:22:26 +0000 UTC]
It is not possible to use your own css in a custom box. However, you can change some parts by using dAs own css. Check out `DEVlANT profile for more information on how to do this.
If you scroll down around half way down the page, on the right he has custom boxes that show you how to add custom boxes, and also how to change the background and font color, though these are dA default css.

yes
just type
color:#the hex value;
inside the css so it would look like this
.example {
font:georgia 12pt;
color:#ffffff;
text-align:left;
background:#000000;
}
hope that helps

You can - if you can find a class with a different font color - like red buttons with white font colour - of course those will always be on a red background.

I have one question though - I'v seen other members enlarge their text, and have no idea how they do it. Can anyone help me?

SilverPixiGirl In reply to VideoGameGirl [2010-03-12 22:20:35 +0000 UTC]
well you can set the text size for each div by using
font-size:20pt; of course you put whatever size you want
so your code would be for example
.textarea {
font-size:10pt;
border:none;
}
you can use the font-size in every class that you want
I hope that helped

Hello guys, I am hoping that I can find some help here!
(If that question was already asked and I did not see it being answered, I appologise!)
I am administrator of this group #paintingdigital and I would love to customize our place to give it a more unique look. I figured that the journal system for the groups seems to work different from the user journals. While user journals would me allow to simply install a premade Journal template and it works, this doesn't seem to be the case with the groups journal.
Should I just copy the CSS from the journal I want that I have tested in my profile before, and that worked there perfectly, to our group journal, it suddenly does not work properly anymore.
The function to write comments would disappear for instance. Why is that so? o_O And what can I do?

Feline-icity In reply to ZombieSandwich [2010-03-08 17:38:48 +0000 UTC]
Yes, that is the way I have done it before. Then after you have copied and pasted the CSS code you will have the opportunity to name and save the skin! I hope that helps you!!

dot-Silver In reply to ZombieSandwich [2010-03-08 16:19:57 +0000 UTC]
I would have thought this would work, but obviously not. I will let the deviantART staff know that installing skins to groups does not work.

There is no mention of name attributes here.
What syntax is used for name attrubute links here at DA?

I absolutely love this group.... As a new group founder, you have really helped me so much with my blogs.
I can not seem to find one key piece of information.
How do I create colored fonts within a blog???
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
joe.

SilverPixiGirl In reply to jnati [2010-02-26 17:26:50 +0000 UTC]
well first off you have to have a subscription because it requires the use of CSS
So lets say you wanted to set a specific color for the whole entire journal sort of as a default text color.
.journalbox is the container for your whole journal. To set your text color you just put in color:# and then the corresponding hex code. There are several ways to find your hex codes one is to use the color picker in your photoshop. or you can go to [link] it's an online color picker or you can get this book color index by Jim Krause. I have this book and use it often.
.journalbox {
font: Georgia, Bookman Old Style;
color:#999a9b;
background:url([link] online photo manager/pink.jpg)no-repeat;
margin:auto auto 10px auto;
width:560px;
height:1225px;
}
any way I hope this answered your question.

dot-Silver In reply to jnati [2010-03-04 02:41:59 +0000 UTC]
Here is how you can accomplish this. I'll take an example of something from your current blog.
Example: "Her compositions captures a raw emotion of ideas."
First thing to do, is to pick a tag that you won't use in your blog, for my example, I will just use <b> as I use <strong> for my bold/strong text. Surround the text you want to change colour with the <b> tag.
e.g. "Her compositions captures a <b>raw emotion of ideas."
In the css, you can add this:
.jcustom b {
color: #ee90fe;
font-weight: normal;
}
This makes all text inside <b> tags to have that colour, and the font-weight takes off the bold.

is it possible to add font & color combination?
and also does this need to go in a certain section of the CSS?

dot-Silver In reply to jnati [2010-03-06 01:17:56 +0000 UTC]
what do you mean by font & colour combination? And it can go anywhere in the css.
