Like I said before, it was really rushed, and I believe it would have been better if 5, 6, and 8 survived, they literally had no reason to die. 1 and 2 was understandable since they had purpose to.

Well, first of all 5 saved 9, then they stuck by eachother side throughout the whole movie, and both of them cared about eachother. I especially love that scene when 9 had to go into the factory and the way he talked to 5 before he went was so sweet. The way he smiled at him too just aaa

Even though they were torn apart shortly after they met, the movie made me feel like they were together for a very long time. And while the end was certainly no "Tale of the Princess Kaguya" the way 9 looked up at his big brother grave, how 5's ghost looked at him, how he only wanted to be free to offer comfort to his little brother, that shows how 5 and 9 didn't want to separated. Nothing about their relationship was forced or manipulated. I wish they got more scenes of cuddling or hugging together. As emotional as the movie is, there should've been more emotion put into like the ending.

I totally agree, they had very good development and it wasn't rushed or forced. Also, I find it questionable how 9 didn't even hug 7 back when he defeated the machine, he didnt even smile at her. Its sort of odd to me. I know he barely woke up but he could've atleast hugged her back if the writers so desperately wanted them to be together
