*clears throat* I'm not web mistress of Gaia Online's #1 Gundam guild for nothing. Things that are wrong with SEED:

1. Generic character design as you see tha most of the charaters resemble each other.

2. Sloppy directing and script writing by Fukuda and his wife to the point that Cagalli and Athrun were torn apart and, for the sake of fan service, Mu who was decapitated last season, came back due to a stupid edit in the movie compilation which should have no bearing at all. I don't mind Cagalli and Athrun breaking up since they seem to have been randomly thrown together at the end of SEED but the way t was done was plain sloppy.

3. Lacus Clyne is a Canon Sue. Basically, a character who is too perfect. How many super genetically enhanced pretty pink haired pop star politician's daughters do you see winning the hearts of two hot bishounen while commanding a battle fleet with no previous experience yet hypocritically spouting about peace? Even for anime, she's far-fetched.

4. Kira is a weak protagonist.

5. In Destiny, they shift the limelight form Shinn, the original protagonist, to Kira and make him almost unbeatable.

6. Unoriginal and hideous mecha.

7. It's a rip-off of 1979's Mobile Suit Gundam and its sequel Zeta Gundam. A poor rip-off at that...


And I'll limit myself to seven before I bore you. Generally, I hate SEED with all my Gundam loving heart. Just because it's shiny doesn't mean it isn't crap... My opinion though... I'm glad to coexist with SEEDlings as long as they don't go around insisting their fandom is superior to mine.

*wipes forehead* Yeah, I take Gundam way too seriously for a teenage girl who should be obsessed with girly things... @_@
