In what respect do you see a photoshopped line art? Was there thought and effort put into your peice? If so what was you thought process? Does it evoke emotion? Does it tell a story? The that I said it was not art does not make this art in any respect.

the photo is not digital, and was not touched by any editing tools.

people can perceive it anyway they relate to it. obviously you don't like it, but disrespecting peoples art and assuming that thought and time were not invested in a personal peice is ignorant.

I'm sorry that i thought it was digital but that has little to do with the image. My problem with the image is that it looks like a line either just a photo of a line or you moved your camera with a long shutter speed. If that is so what makes this art for you? Art and image are not the same word not every photograph is Art. And as far as me disrespecting it take it no more the then a harsh criticism not every review will be sugar coated. But in all seriousness how much time was put into that piece between you think about it and it being shot?

the photo is art for me, because i know where it was taken, and it reminds me of the experineces that i had, but the entire point of the photo, is that everyone will feel differently, not everybody will relate to the image in the same way.

the camera i used is not a point a shoot camera, so it's not like i can randomly snapshot everything I see. i have to use a tripod, and measure distance for the focus.

you can google (mercury II)

their is no definition for art. every photograph IS art, everything you see IS art, just some art is more respected than others. you're not just offering critisism, you are challenging what i created. why exactly are you so concerned?

In respect to every thing being art let me quote my friend who said "Poor modern people, that claims for democracy in art. "Everyone is an artist and everything is art". God... What we'll have to hear next? A butcher saying "Everyone is a butcher and everything is a roast-beef"?". Also the fact that an image hold value to you means nothing to the viewer an image is there to create value for the viewer, and i find an image of a line hard to for anyone to get some kind of value out of for we the view have not shared the same experiences you have those rendering the image meaningless.
