Well, I finally got a design down for my rider... partially. I feel like it's really missing something, but I don't know what.

Your on design part- I have the same worry in this stage. Ya gotta look far from it, stand a few steps back so to say.
What's in this Riders world? Who is he (or she) fighting?

The plot may influence the character but if it's just design then...

As the Main Rider ya gotta give 'em most of all the abilities- gotta have the Rider Kick look to the figure- sleek and open to upgrades/change/accessories.

...Hmmmm... Maybe getting back the classics.... Give 'em a crazy scarf that's a backlash of danger- all tattered and ripped up- with a history to it!

Pipes wrapping around- hard metal decals- GEARS! Oh yes the clock work design- not rusty put slek in flowing bronze and earth tones...

Ya can give him like a ominous fog that he creates out of all the steam he emits- Or less mechanical and more old Victorian, suit vest and cuffs cloth wear?

Ah- ya just gotta brainstorm!
