hopefully. The problem right now is that roughly about an hour in between, it'll turn itself off, then it takes multiple attempts (usually around 10 or 11) to turn it back on. It's very frustrating and could be easily avoided if my family weren't cheapskates who got free ones handed down from relatives. (and I know they have the money. They drove to the next down over and got a 4-wheeler for my younger step sister after all)

Yeah, it's always better to buy a new one that will perform well for years rather than months.
I made enough from my part-time job (min wage) to pay for a new apple laptop. I love it so so so much. Maybe you could do something like that or save up and split the cost with your family?
Whatever happens, I hope it all works out for the better.

it'd be hell to try and get a job, if I can't even go outside alone. Pardon my language, but they're stuck too far up my ass. They don't trust me with anything. (and then they wonder why I lock myself in my room all the time and don't like being around them 24/7) when all I've ever done is proven I'm capable of doing things on my own, without breaking their rules.
