What school do you go to ?....your sculptures , glass work , and installations are amazing .

And have any of your pieces made been in any gallery shows ?

LaughingTree In reply to MeatHookSodomy [2007-03-10 04:52:44 +0000 UTC]

Thanks very much! I went to Ohio State for the most part. I highly recommend that school. Especially for the glass department. It's really a great environment to create work in. Still working on getting in some galleries aside from a few here and there. I haven't had any solo shows since I graduated at least...

Osa-Art-Farm In reply to ??? [2006-11-14 01:21:46 +0000 UTC]

I love glass. It's such an amazing and beautiful material. In my lifelong dreams I wanted to be like you: confident and artfully talented in many areas, especially in glass. Having had the oppourtunity to try it I have found that I do not have the required patience for working with it hot. I continue to be in awe of it and can spend many hours absorbed in looking at finished work (or scraps on the floor). At demos, I would be the one with my mouth dropped open, wide eyes and never moving from the closest viewing spot. Meanwhile, I will remain content to use it cold in mosaics or garden art and as a ceramic glaze and leave the magic to you and yours.

LaughingTree In reply to Osa-Art-Farm [2006-11-14 07:54:55 +0000 UTC]

Thanks very much! I can certainly understand where you're coming from. It takes years of patience and practice! One thing you might consider though, might be "warm glass"? Fusing or slumping... Things like that. Much more related to mosaics and no heat involved! (well sort of). Might be worth looking into!

Thanks for stopping by

I'm just amazed by your whole gallery. Your skills really have no boundries!

You do not have many drawings and paintings in your gallery yet you are incredible at it.
Your glasswork and sculptures are gorgeous.

Seems like you turn everything into art.. even your body is a beautiful work of art!

That's so cool, it's nice to see someone who's truely passionate about their craft. I've wanted to learn glass since I was a small child, so i'm going to learn or it's going to kill me!
