This is like my first serious full-effort colored pencil drawing in years, did it work? I think the only areas that did are Tina's legs, shirt, glasses and the right arms. Despite Spray fixing it I still ran into my vile arch nemesis, graphite smudging. I swear I'm just getting a lightbox for real this time.

Well getting a light box would help, though you could just get a kneaded eraser to lightly erase your drawings before colouring them it really helps to remove excess grapite. Still I think you did pretty good on your colouring, I think the highlights on Becky's breasts could be a tad more refined, but overall it looks pretty good ^^

Thanks for the response! yeah that area didn't work out so well because it's supposed to a bright aqua, but the initial color used was this dull jade green that was a kind of a big outlier and not in a good way, and it didn't combine well with the other two colors. Their skin on the other hand I used only two colors, I colored the midtones with the lighter one, left white space for the shadow color (and another blank space for highlight), and then covered over both the midtone and the shadow area with the darker tone, it just worked out a million times better. It's really just as important as marker to have the tones tested and properly planned/selected though.

I've been trying to get back to traditional art, and the lightbox seems to be helping so far, not only do I not have to worry about disgusting graphite smear, or the paper being beaten to death from repeated pencil erasure/indentation (I tried 20,000 times to draw Becky looking at a phone to the point it's practically carved like a knife into that page even if you can't see it) but it's extremely helpful to just separate the drawing and the coloring, since whatever paper's good for drawing might not be good for coloring mediums.
Oh yeah and no more walking outside to my deck to sprayfix inflation art in the middle of 3 AM!
