It's about this girl, Chise, she's in love with Shuuji, they start a relationship and get really close, but then, Chise is taken by the military and made into a secret weapon, which drives them apart
it really is a sad but beautiful story, every fan of anime should have seen this one

Ive just seen the two first episodes yesterday and Im loving it so far
I wanna cry for Chise, how could the military hurt such a delicate girl like her?

I think it's explaned in the OVA why the military chose Chise, she has the best compatibility with the weapon or something, so they didn't really have a choice
That's what makes it such a sad story, I think

I just saw the rest of Saikano today!
Wow! I knew it was gonna be a dramatic ending, but the end of the world! D': I was sobbing!
Its just unbeleivable that such a young girl is capable of that
I mean its a sad ending but theres something happy about it
