It's basically two people each controlling one or more characters. Example-

Guy 1: *Is sitting on the couch watching TV*

Guy 2: *walks in* "Hey man, watchs watching?"

Guy 1: "Just the news. Nothing else was on."

Guy 2: "Ooay, I'm gonna go take a nap. See you later." *leaves*
