Thanks, Zabelon! I've been working so hard on doing pocket profile etches the past 6 months.. Once I finish one more (my 50th) I'll be getting back to doing cities and other fun stuff. Appreciate the kind words

You're Welcome.
And...Can I ask how you can stop it from shaking and erasing the picture?

Sorry for the delayed response. Before I begin an etch, I drill holes into the back so that way I can sift out all the aluminum powder. I can recover the holes with tape and remove the tape after I do the picture or I can drain the sand out before I sketch it, but then I only have one shot to get it right. Thankfully I haven't wasted any etch-a-sketches that way, yet. Thx again!

Hi Bryan. My name is Jeani Rector, and I am the editor of The Horror Zine at [link] I have to say that I have never experienced anything like your etch-a-sketch art and I feel it is unique enough to really get my attention. I am extending an invitation to display your artwork on our zine. If you are interested, please email me at thehorrorzine@gmail.com and I thank you.

Hello Jeani,
Thanks so much for the kind words, I'm glad to hear that you enjoy my etch-a-sketch art so much! Feel free to use my images in your zine; I'm afraid I only have one etch-a-sketch that would be at all appropriate for your horror zine, though - which is the Bat Boy sketch you likely found me through. I would be happy to create and photograph one more piece, special for your zine. Is there anything in particular you would like to see on a pocket etch-a-sketch?
Thanks again, take care!
Bryan

Hi Bryan....the art themes do not need to be horror. I believe your etch-a-sketch is so unique that I would love to display it, all of your themes. Please email me at thehorrorzine@gmail.com and let's talk. Thanks, Jeani Rector, Editor

Wow. Just WOW! I am in awe of your mastery of the EaS. It was one of my favorite toys...and then I got the EaS Animator. Remember that one? lol. I still have it well kept. The original is still the best, though. Anyway, I just had to compliment you on such awesome work. Looking forward to seeing more of your etches!

Ha I've never had the opportunity to use the Animator, I've always been curious about it. I'm sure I'll pick one up on eBay eventually, though Thanks so much for watching the kind words; if nobody cared, i probably wouldn't be doing this, so it's appreciated!

Thanks! I wasn't sure if the fictional intro would fly in the art world, but I can't adequately express my most important skill (creativity) without doing something kind of out there. The story is a bit trite, but hopefully the fact that it's there at all alleviates the tiredness of the tale. Good luck with yours, don't be afraid to use all the catch-phrases I took -- there isn't many ways to say "etch-a-sketch" without relying on their promotional slogans

I can't seem to get the etch-a-sketch group to work. I'm pretty sure I joined, but there's no option to submit, only suggest a fav. I've submitted the NYC pics to a NY group and that worked, but maybe I'm doing it wrong, ima no0b around here
