Well I've been friends with this girl called Shelly for years, so a couple weeks ago I broke the ice and asked her out, she said maybe then said she wasn't ready for dating, she said to wait untill her next birthday, we kiss but thats it, I think shes just putting it off because she doesn't like me

hm, this sounds like when ryan asked his best friend out.. they went out, but broke up and didn't even stay friends any more. i guess the best advice for you is to actually suck in your pride and ask her if she does like you or not. and if she says no she doesn't then you have to decided if you can still be friends with her or if your feelings for her may get in the way of that. these kind of relationships are the hardest.

when i was younger my best friend who was a boy had a crush on me, but never said any thing because he knew i liked another boy. i confronted him on it once but he denied it...he was bad a lying lol. cause i knew he was lying. i believe he did that just so we can say friends. i had moved away and when i moved back we were friends but never really hanged out.

any ways, my only good advice is to just ask her it's the best way to find out of she likes you are not. hope this helps.
