Certain dates are meaningful only because we make them that way. So I've taken one of those more "meaningful days" and piled on, for the purposes of dA. And of course it's not the date that counts, it's that you were generous enough to offer me birthday wishes that will last the year. So who cares about the date itself. It is, as they say, "the thought that counts."

Thanks much for keeping in touch. It's a good feeling.
I've been fine, pretty much. Dealing with the downer of winter having arrived here full force, and thus kicking me off the tennis courts. And trying to come to terms with having a no-nothing facist leading our country for the next four years. A challenge, that one.
Working on stories, collaborations, other projects, reading about one book a week, enjoying my family life. Can't ask for more than that.

Thank you very much for the extended comment. This obsession has been fueled by people like yourself who take the time to acknowledge the time and effort spent. I've tried to do some stories with a little gravitas but to me it clashes with the underlying ridiculousness of the entire premise. Applies to this character and any other "Superhero".

Right you are. I do fully understand the aesthetic conflict involved in giving the "superhero" fantasy any kind of gravitas. That's why all those "batman" movies with the growly voices simply made me laugh out loud. I mean, c'mon. (Imagine WW with a growly voice....)
The historical emergence of comic-strip superhero in the 1930s made huge sense at the time, given the various quite scary global threats the American public faced. And they made sense in the WWII '40s, and in the nuclear-bomb scares of the 1950s. But once the middle '60s hit, the role of these characters had to change, and to me the changes made took them right away from any cultural relevance. They've never been able to reclaim it, IMHO.
So the fun is in applying new technology (in the production, as well as in the storyline itself). To me, that's where your creativity really shines, and I applaud you for it. I can't imagine myself looking for real drama or relevance in your storylines, although (as I said earlier, it would be a delight to find). When I feel the need for social relevance, bondage images are not where I prefer to spend my time.
