"Fine, i'll place a bet on it and make some extra cash." She lazily pinched his thigh, settling down the waatch the movie.

Cynic stared lazily as the movie progressed, he hated the slowness; the fucked up shit barely fased him.

"So.... What the fuck is going on right now?" She asked, confused for asking him questions instead of paying attentiom.

"well obviously her mom is being a nutcase, look at that fucked up bitch." he said as the mother dug a deep knife into her thigh.

Jas squined in disgust to keep from seeing it. "Aw fuck, gross. Why are we watching this again?"

"Well I wanted a horror movie but we are just watching pointless mutalation, lets watch something else"

"Here," She blindly grabbed the remote, shoving it into his chest. "You pick smartass."

"God your pissy today" he mumbled as he switched through the channels until he landed on the Shining.

She jabbed her elbow into his stomach, scoffing. "When am I not pissy?! And shut the fuck up."

"But I don't want to shut up" he muttered, he took her hand in his own, giving her a soft kiss on the cheek.

Jas relaxed slightly, sinking back into him. "Wasn't a request, so shut up and watch the movie." She growled, squeezing his hand.

He kissed her and rested his cheek on her head and watched in silence.

(I'll skip to just before the fight
Jas blew out a puff of the cold air, rubbing her hands together as she shivered. It was even colder fighting arena, people yelling at the fighters to 'kick eachothers asses', waving money around in the air to represent their bets. She'd already made hers on the next fight, with Cynic and the hotshot, along with another 2 fights to not look suspicious when it came to the gambling.Β

Cynic glared at the guy as he entered the fighting arena, he hated doing this bullshit but money was money.
the idiot in question was standing around holding out his arms to the audience geting praise from fans, like that really mattered.
most of the people booed when they noticed Cynic, spitting curses at him, he rolled his eyes as he reached the middle.
the fight started when a loud buzzer sound rang, Cynic stood still, side stepping as the idiot threw a punch, he sighed and kicked his ankle sending the idiot onto his face, he digged his knee into his back holding his arms high behind him in a way that looked too painful.

Cynic won the first of 3 out of two, the second round the guy knew not to strike first, he managed to dodge Cynics first punch and grabbed his arm and sent him to the ground, as the guy went to wrestle cynic to the ground, cynic kicked him the jaw and got the upper hand and punched the guy to the ground, he did the same as before and won the fight.

Jasmine grinned, letting out a few boos, accidently shoving anyone who jeered at him for real, not bothering to apologize. She shoved her way to the front, yelling obscenities at him to match the rest of the crowd. "Cheater! You can't do that!" She screeched, not being able to keep the smile off her face. After all, there was no one who knew who'd she bet on besides the people who kept track of it.Β

Cynic smirked as his opponent got frustrated at every point, he was really dragging the last fight out, giving punches whenever given the chance but mostly just dodging until the guy straight out charged at Cynic. He smirked and pulled his arm back to painfully punch him Iinbetween the eyes. Knocked out and a bleeding nose was how the fight ended. The crowd booed as Cynic was called for winning the fight. He searched the crowd and winked at Jasmine.

Jasmine returned the wink, turning back and shoving through the crowd to the betting booths to collect her cash. As much as she loved seeing people getting the shit beat out of them, the place was a dump. It was loud and the air was clammy, and reeked of sweat and blood. She dug into her pocket and uncrumpled the small pieces of paper slamming them down on the table. The person behind the counter looked unimpressed, smoothing out the tickets as they compared it to the list of fights. "2/3 fights huh? Pretty lucky." The man yelled to be heard over the crowd. "No one thought that Cynic guy was going to win. You get a tip or something?" He asked, grabbing an envelope and grabbing cash from a full metal gray box behind them. Jasmine shrugged, not wanting to give anything away. "You could say that." She grumbled, taking the envelope and heading towards the exit.Β

Jasmine stood under the street light, using it as a source to count the money they'd won from the fight. It was at least $675, and combined with the money they both made from work, they would be fine until his next fight. She tucked the money away in her pocket and zipped it before looking around and checking her phone for the time. It was at their usual meeting place, a couple blocks away from the ring, a safe distance. Even though she hated waiting, Jasmine always left a little earlier, that way there was no suspicion that they were ever associated with eachother. "Ugh, where is he...."

Cynic stumbled into their normal meeting spot as he pulled a hoody over his head, running had felt like a good idea had he not been somewhat tired from the fight. He casually walked over Jasmine.
"How much did we get?" He asked as he stood closer to her.

"$700 bucks almost." She answered, taking the envelope of of her pocket and waving it in front of his face. "Nice job, you fucking kicked his ass. I would've laughed my ass off if I could." Jasmine smirked and out the money back, linking her arm with his. "I bet your dead ass tired, right?"

"You wouldn't believe" he chuckled, he pulled her into a hug and buried his face in her neck.

Jas chuckled and let the hug last for a moment before playfully shoving him away. "Alright asshole, lets get home before we got our asses mugged out here. We'll stop by the gas station too and get some beer and candy. Sound good?" She asked, linking arms with him.

"Yeah" he smiled widely, it kind of amazed him how Jazmine could make him so happy, he kissed the top of her head as they walked to the closest store.
When there he went straight toward the beer with Jazmine and started looking through them.
"Hey; can we get strongbull this time?"

"I don't care, get whatever you want," Jas shrugged, tucking some of the money into his pocket. "Your fists, your cash." She added, heading to the area where all the junk food was. "You want chocolate, right?"
( I couldn't figure out what strongbull was so I assumed it was beer..)

"Yeah, get me kitkat" he said as he grabbed a case of beer, walking back to the counter and saving a spot in line as he waited for Jasmine to hurry up.
