Thanks for your comment about Stairway to Beauty. The Beauty part of the title refers to the fact that these gorgious steps were clearly something that more than one person spent alot of time working on, and yet.....they are compleatly ignored and dwarfed by the imencity of the falls which are beyond their steps. People dont even notice these steps as they thunder up them in theri excitment of going to the falls. I sat at a table at the base of the stairs and watched people (I do that alot) for a good hour. And the ONLY person who noticed the steps at all was a todiler who seemed facinated with the moss that was growing out of the cracks. I would have taken a pic of him but his mother didnt seem the type that would have taken kindly to that. So I didnt, and i regret not getting that snap.

One thing that amazes, and greatly anoys me, is that in our haste for the quest of the 'american dream' nearly every person I watch hurries by lost in their own little world and they simply fail to notice the things that are littlerly, right under their feet.

wow thank you so much for all the kind words and taking the time to check out my gallery. i appreciate it more than you would know. i just had the pleasure of reading some of your poems and they are so beautiful. im going to have to go back and re-read some of them. thank you so much again for your kindness,favs, and for being such a talented writer! look forwards to reading more of your works as they are posted. and i hope the time flies by while you have to go the 11 days without the person whom you are so close with

Well yeah..anywho.... if you really want to know the meaning, it was sort of a visualisation of a trip I took to see family recently... we went to see castles and other random goth things... and drank and smoked and talked a lot... it's mainly about that and the feelings it invoked... the end is about having to go back on the train later... leaving a place where I felt connected and part of things to back here, where I'm not heh...
