it's going well, sorry its taking me awhile to get projects out to everybody, i have a play that opens next weekend, so i'm kinda busy with that. sorry!

well i leave for college in 2 weeks, but other than that i've got loads of free time

i've got a few kinds of projects, let me know what kind you want to work on:
-cd cover (he wants it to look illustrated like a lot of metal bands, more info later)
-photo-manips of the lead actor with other famous musicians like flea, madonnam, marilyn manson, etc. to hang on a wall in apartment secenes
-fake magazine covers featuring the lead character, roling stone, gq, etc.
-fake band posters

o_o probably either the cd cover or the band poster since i suck at photomanipulation

ok, then here are some specifics:
-make up a band name (think something apocolyptic and dark, in the metal genre)
- make a design for a poster that is 11X17 (that's a good size that i can change later to whatever size he wants, make sure you leave me some breathing room on the edges for printing)
-look at bands like dimmu borgir, arch enemy, opeth, borknagar, etc. for inspiration.
-think dark and scary! these posters will go on the wall during club and concert scenes.
-note me with how you would like your name to appear in the credits (it will either be in the 'special thanks' section or the 'art department' section, not sure yet.
-if you're interested in doing any of the other projects, i'll be sending out a journal this weekend with more specifics on each project.

Whether its drawing, painitng, or photography, just keep in mind the elements of design and composition. These are the things many students overlook. I've had to explain it to a lot of my classmates.
I like playing around with lighting, and i'm always looking for good light sources - depending on the mood i'm trying to convey. I love the photo you took with the angel at the doorway by the way.
Study from the greats.
And just keep you eyes open. Creativity is limitless. We're artists, so we have a sixth sense, or maybe more.

thanks for the advice! i'll keep it in mind. i'm going to try that angel photo-manip again someday, i had difficulty matching textures, so it doesn't look authentic, but thank you for the compliment!

i don't think you should edit, somtimes we have to examine where we've been to figure out where we're going. just edit your description to include something about how long its been since you've written it, people will understand. of course, not eveerything we write or produce is going to be genius, but if you meant it at the time of creation, then that's the important thing, then it's true, and who cares about emo, or gushy. have more faith in yourself sweetie.
