Well, are you more accostumed to SLRs or plain point'n'shoot digitals?
If you're used to SLRs more, I wouldn't get it. I'm used to SLRs so there are some things about the digital SLR that bug the crap outta me. If you're used to p'n's digital cameras, I'd say get it if you want to spend the money.
Even with the cheap lens I got, the quality of the picture is great. The one problem I've had is with marco shots and zooming in on things, but that's because the lens is shitty, not the body.
The D50 is a great camera if you get the right lens. I have to save up again to get a better one.
But, I mean, if you've going to use a camera as a tourist you should just get a p'n's. If you're going to use it later on as a job or hobby, get the D50.
