BTW, have you seen Spaghetti-Ball Theatre's fan-made MST3K episode, where they pardoy the Dungeons and Dragons movie? That has some pretty funny stuff, although there's also some very obvious jokes they left out. It's on Youtube, so you might want to watch it.

I figured that considering the news I'm about to tell you has an impact on MST3K fans, I'd tell you this so you may hopefully tell the rest in the near future.

I heard just now that YouTube is going through with a decision where all copyrighted videos is removed from the site. All anime, video games, and music videos featuring clips of copyrighted material made by fans are all to be destroyed. All just because they don't wanna get sued. I can understand why they don't want trouble, but if it means losing the support and respect of their users, then they're asking for trouble.

The most important issue in the case of us MST3K fans is that I'm certain that the many MST3K episodes on YouTube are going to face the same punishment, which sucks because many of us cannot afford the DVD collections Best Brains and Rhino Home Video distribute every so often, and the only other place to turn to for our nessesary MST3K fix is through YouTube, or Google (and Google mostly has links to YouTube anyway).

The bottom line is this: If we allow YouTube to go through with this, we lose MST3K again, and the only way to view our favorite episodes would to buy the overpriced DVDs, which not everyone can afford sadly.

If it's possible, I beg the MST3K fanclub to try and organize a petition to sway YouTube's decision.

Personally, I'd just stop going to YouTube. I didn't even realize people were posting MST episodes on there. YouTube seems to get worse by the day--not necessarily because of YouTube itself, but because of the amount of suicide-inducing idiots on the site.
There's other video sites out there. And most of them are better than YouTube

Thank you, we all greatly appreciate the support. I myself got into MST3K duing the 8th season and onwards, so I missed a lot from the early days, and as such I only found out about MST3K on YouTube just last year thanks to someone writing a MST3K fanfiction. There are still episodes I've yet to see, and I've seen almost all of them.
