Hi, I just read in an old comment of yours that you went to Willard in Tacoma.  So did I!  That school has been closed (as a school) for many years now, so it was a bit surprising to see someone else who went there.

I know OF them, but never went to any.  My family moved around quite a bit when I was in school.  I bumped around from the Tacoma School District, to Franklin Pierce, to Puyallup, and back to Tacoma.  I went to four different high schools!  (Graduated from Stadium.)

That's crazy! Is so rare to meet someone who even knows Tacoma at all. I grew up on the Hilltop mostly. Before the started making it all nice. most of my family is still there. I actually hope to go back this summer. Fingers crossed.

I actually lived on the edge of the Hilltop for a few years, although I wasn't from that area.  When I was a child, my family owned a home near Canyon Road.  Way out there.  A neighbor down the road kept his cows in our yard (to keep down the grass) and the people behind us had horses.  I used to go out into the back yard and coax the mama and baby horses to the fence and feed them handfuls of grass all the time.

We sold our house and moved into town eventually.  Bad as things could be there, I still would MUCH rather be there than where I live now, in eastern WA.  Hate it over here- too hot most of the time, and nothing to do!
