Certainly good films, and worth seeing though.
Speaking of good films, The Thief and the Cobbler Recobbled Cut Mk4, a major improvement in terms of quality, will be coming out this year, probably around April. Just waiting for our video restorationist to improve the video sources, and for a short reel of new HD 35mm footage to come in.

Rereading your comment, I don't think you actually had me confused with Jambe, so I feel silly now. I'm glad you've enjoyed Deleted Magic and the Recobbled Cut. Stay tuned for more cool stuff. Some of which I can't talk about yet, but it's gonna be a great year.

My mind was blown after first seeing your artwork. Now I'm working hard to match and beat your quality.

You are the man, Garrett! Thank you for all the work you've done restoring The Thief and making the Whosprites project.

Glad you like! It's a classic film and has been an honor restoring it. There's a new and improved version coming later this year ... April perhaps.

I'll have to check that out. It's been a while since I've seen it.
Also, your restoration is mentioned in this Nostalgia Critic review. He's this reviewer with his own web show. [link]
The restoration is mentioned near the end. He reviews the musical version before that.

Yes, I'm familiar. I'm not too happy that he chose to review the Miramax version [which fans of the film happily ignore], but his review did bring a lot of people to the film who wouldn't have seen it otherwise.

He usually reviews movies to take them apart. But at least he mentioned the history of the project.

OK, I was just watching the Artists Panel from BroNYCon and it was mostly uninteresting...
But then you mentioned a Dr. Who lost episodes animation project and I just have to ask...
Is that project completely dead? I am unfortunately no artist whatsoever, I do statistics. If I had any skill in that area I'd help in a heartbeat but alas that's not in the cards.
I'd be giddy to see even one completed serial. The tidbits on youtube just aren't cutting it. I recently watched all the existing 2nd Doctor episodes and gods am I craving more.

That panel uninteresting? Never! It was tons of fun.
The WhoSprites project isn't dead, but it needs video editors and Flash or Anime Studio style animators to complete the episodes. I felt that my part was to provide the artwork necessary, on which I spent the better part of three years. Doing all the lip sync and movement was something for a larger team. The Doctor Who fandom didn't quite have the "can-do" spirit needed.
A talented animator has been working on a version of Evil of the Daleks: 7 with my sprites for some time now, but his own personal financial issues have to date prevented its completion. I think he's animated a version of about half the episode.
I'm also in talks with an editor who isn't even a Doctor Who fan to do some work. And I'm always looking for people and happy to provide my art for those who want to have a try at it.

Congratulations on the feature on EqD. Your interview was so inspiring. I came into this fandom just thinking "Oh cool, another good cartoon," and ended finding the inspiration to pick up music again and even to try everyday to make someone smile.
Thank you!

I'm glad you got some inspiration out of it -- I tried to use the space to say something worth reading. There does seem to be something special about this fandom. I'm very much looking forward to attending another BroNYCon in a week, and seeing everyone again.

Thank you so much for archiving the best of Richard Williams' work. I am currently an animation student who is trying to learn all kinds of skills in order to keep Western civilization animation alive. Keep up the good work with your own art as well.
