So what do yo make of it? I know that we already have the Bayverse version and the IDW one but i'd like to know. Well?

While the IDW version is iconic, yours fits the bill of what the Fallen is, the ancestor of all Decepticons. The B2 fits him perfectly. The Bayverse version looks ugly in the movie(even for an ancient Transformer) though his concept art and toys are decent. Overall, your take on the character is imo the best reimagining of the character. In the words of Darth Vader "Impressive, most impressive."Β

With all of my Transformers character redesigns, i do strive to capture their inner G1 essence and core while at the same time update and make them modern and contemporary and am glad that has been the case with most of my character designs.

The style, you have your bots in a modern astectic but still have them keep what made them charming. that's what I think anyway.

Thanks for the praise and i'll take that as a compliment, since when i started doing this almost ten years ago now, my goal was to translate these classic characters and adapt them with modern alternate vehicle modes yet keep their core G1 essence and sensibility intact, which i've managed to do judging from the comments that i've received so far. There are some character redesigns of mine that work and some don't and i'd like to think that whatever the look and design that i've decided to go for with regards to a specific character, that it comes from a place of love and thought and care and that i do love these characters and the franchise as a whole and still do to this day, despite what the Michael Bay films have portrayed and put out.

I mean sure, the Bay films aren't the best thing to come out of cinema (and that's the fault of writers not Bay) they also aren't the worst thing either. I can understand why people I have beef with the films and I respect what they have to say, but the movies always entertained me, but this isn't about my opinion on the movies, this is about your take on iconic characters and my opinion still stands, they rock. 'Nuff said. Have a good night man!Β

Yes true, the Bay films aren't the best in terms of reflecting what Transformers is all about and they are entertaining to a certain extent. I just don't want this generation of viewers and the next to be ingrained with the notion that the Transformers franchise is all about loud explosions, fratboy humor and shallow character development and apparent disregard to it's own cinematic continuity. Am not taking your right to enjoy the movies nor saying it is wrong if you do but what am getting at is the Transformers movies could have been better than this and some comicbook story arcs have shown us that it can be done right. The same can be said about THE LAST JEDI and the much maligned GHOSTBUSTERS 2016, how both of those films were created to push forth agendas instead of telling us a good and well crafted story within their franchises.
What it all boils down to is this: As fans of these franchises, all we ever wanted was to be given the best product possible and not be served with half @$$ed productions that are shallow in all the details that matter and are intent of pushing for other stuff instead of focusing on what they should do which is to give us a great story that is fun yet MEANINGFUL and EARNEST and not be lectured or have our intelligence be insulted. Is that a bad thing and too much to ask? If you like the BAY movies, then good for you. Am just saying as fan of G1 who literally grew up watching the original series, those movies could have been more than just juvenile fart and fratboy humor and shallow character development and loud explosions. And the director has expressed his DISDAIN for that stupid 80's toy based cartoons that serves as a 30 minute commercial to buy the toys in numerous interviews. And with statements like that, you can't blame the G1 fanbase for being so cynical and jaded and somewhat disapproving with regards to the Bayverse TF movies.

Oh. For a moment there i was expecting you to disagree with me and defend the TF Bayverse films or something like that. Glad that you see my POV and those of the G1 fanbase. As a fan of most sci fi and anything pop culture and geeky stuff, i think am speaking this on behalf of most fanbases whatever hobby and fandom they are into is that all we ever wanted was to be given a good and quality product in terms of mainstream media and entertainment and be treated right and with respect. Not to be pandered or lectured or insult our intelligence as customers and as fans. Because we love and care for this stuff most of our lives and it means a lot to us. And that's the important thing.
