Because all of the jobs I have been looking at and schools I have been applying to say you need to have a Canon, no acceptions.

Oh, that's probably because they all started off with Canons because Canon gave them an educational discount or something. I could be wrong but I've used Canon & Nikon and I don't see the difference.

hmmm......i dunno then. just seems that everybody for all jobs i've seen want canon. especially wiht weddings and whatnot. no clue why. although i have used one once and the though the adaptation was a little difficult i did notice the shutter speed was much quicker but the auto adjust was all wierd and didn't have anything to do with the shutter at all.
