Since we're on the topic of fanfics, can you do a scene from one of mine?? Uhh, how about this scene from Empyreal:

“Sam!” I cried, forgetting I was still a ghost. I knelt before her, afraid to touch her. She was lying on her side, her legs crossed at the ankles; she had one hand lying gently across her abdomen, her other arm lying next to her beautiful face. Her eyes were closed, and her skin was pale with a slight bluish tone. The rain continued to fall.

With shaking arms, I lifted the upper half of her body into my arms, holding her with one arm, and using the other to brush her dark hair from her face.

“Sam,” I murmured. “Open your eyes.” My eyes darted to and fro, almost looking for some sort of answer. I gripped her by her shoulders and her head hung limply, rolling to the side. She wasn’t breathing. Her skin was almost white and she was cold to the touch. She was completely soaked through..

And yes, references would be nice

And, here's the little scene from my story:

Danny let out a soft sigh, carefully watching Clover sleep against his chest. Her long brown hair fanned out over him and he contented himself with playing with a strand of it, twirling it easily around his fingers.

He gazed at his ghost uniform scattered around her bedroom and sighed, knowing that he should leave and go home. His mother was probably worried sick. Carefully, he phased an arm out from under Clover’s vice grip and reached into his pants for his cell phone.

He sent a text message to his mother letting that he would be home in the morning. She sent him back some sort of message about a casserole waiting in the fridge, but he had already snuggled back into Clover’s bed. She stirred slightly then whimpered, clutching lightly at thin air.

Danny gently began to stroke her back, the soft, icy skin tickling the tips of his fingers. “It’s alright,” he whispered softly, “I’m here, and I’ll protect you.” After a few moments of these reassurances she fell back into a deep sleep, her face tranquil.
Flushing slightly with the thoughts of their previous enjoyment he leaned back onto the pillow and soon was in a deep slumber.
