Don't be afraid to do something, cosplay is for fun - ignore people who act elitist about it
Don't be afraid to ask someone for help or look something up
Start with easiler/ simplier cosplays at the beginning and then work your way up
You are your biggest critic; something that you might think looks terrible others could really love - so relax
