Well, if you ask me... Poses aren't even what a picture is about... In fact, art is about everything BUT the poses. It's about how you can draw and how you can shade and lots of toehr stuff.

by exact poses I mean like, don't reference something COMPLETELY so it's TOTALLY RECOGNIZABLE AND EASY TO IDENTIFY WHAT YOU REFERENCED FROM.

I use to reference a lot too when I was younger, but it just takes practice. Try sketching a few hours a day by observation. Sketch limbs, etc. You know?

First of all, I never even said what I thought art was. I was telling you to stop doing exact references, and maybe you wouldn't get reported for art theft so much.
Art is about expression. -- art can be anything.
But it pisses people off if all you ever do is constantly make generic work.
