Thanks, I have only seen bits and pieces of the show to be honest, but I just love experimenting with different skin tones and what not.  I don't think I quite got her eye color right, but I think I did a pretty close job of coloring them.  Anyways, she's one of my favorite pictures, so I'm glad you and others like her as well  And no problem about the watching, I'm just trying to reach out to more artists

Yeah, I also just like adding darker skin tones to my pictures because drawing only light-skinned characters can get kind of boring after awhile (in my opinion anyway).  Plus, I think it's kind of sad how there aren't many anime characters that are African-American, Hispanic, etc., and if there are, they're usually just supporting characters.  Thankfully there are a few exceptions though, but still I think the playing field needs to be leveled, you know what I mean?  Anyways, enough of my ranting!   

Anyways, thanks for the compliments!  I'll definitely make sure to watch it in the future, as soon as I'm done watching these other anime shows.  And don't worry, I don't think I'm going to stop having fun drawing any time soon  Take care!

I totally agree! It really can :/ But yeah yeah I've been trying to do the same too..and it is a shame! And i know what you mean though..It really bothers me that there aren't many,like,darker skinned characters like you said..it needs to change forreal..like idk if this is off topic and I'm sorry if it iscosplaying seems sooo fun, but I feel kind if weird to cosplay as a character that isnt, well, black or have a darker kind if skin color :/ there's not much of a choice and it's a little depressing..I know I shouldn't care, but I can't help but do so...I did cosplay as Michiko though, and I had fun being her was friggin fun and awesome, but itd be nice to have even more characters to choose from that I like that's got some color in them..
Anyway though, haha no need to apologize for the rant though! I like reading rants u v u

Yeah, anime/manga is a great art-form, but the industry in terms of its depiction of characters, especially those of color, could be improved.  Also, I think the way so many shows are practically built on fan-service is a bit depressing/cheap.  But yeah, I have never cosplayed before, but I can totally see where you're coming from in terms of picking from a limited selection of characters that are of a different ethnicity/race.  I have also never been to a Comic-con or anime convention, since I don't have family members or many friends that are into anime and stuff like that who I could go with.

auhh it really could be improved and by a lot -__- i highly doubt it would hurt to have a diversity of characters in the industry..euh it just really bites and irritates me. and oh gosh, yeeEEESS all this fan-service mess is soo overrated and used so much..! i see it so much in shows where it isn't necessary..like i'm surprised people aren't actually tired of seeing it in every anime you turn to.
and aww, i'm sorry to hear that you haven't, though i really do hope that one day you'll be able to go, dress up for whoever you want to be, and have some friends to go with as well ; u ; i bet the day will come!

Yeah, having enough diversity in "mainstream" media is difficult enough for some reason, so I think it might be awhile before the whole shindig changes in that respect.  But yeah, I highly agree, fan-service for the most part is just kind of degrading in general.  I mean, I tolerate (and when I say "tolerate" I mean that very loosely, if that makes sense) fan-service but there comes a point to where it's just stupid and takes away from the story.  I tried to watch High School of the Dead and let me tell you, I couldn't even make it past the first episode because the fan-service was practically non-stop and completely pointless.  

Anyways, enough of my ranting, sorry!  Yeah, I hope to go one day, they look like such a blast to go to!
