Its Eid-al-Adha, islamic religious holiday ^^

Eid Mubarak means may you have a blessed Eid

Eid means happiness, which is the name of the holiday

Summer ends in December, y'know?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2009-12-19 20:41:30 +0000 UTC]

hey, in Louisiana, summer DOES end in December.... and it starts again in March

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2009-12-22 23:45:27 +0000 UTC]

Exactly!

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2009-12-23 21:43:15 +0000 UTC]

heh...wish the weather would make up its mind though....its cold one second and hot the next... I come out wearing a jacket and sweater, then I end up taking them off, carrying them around and wearing cotton shirts and jeans underneath...
on occasion I've been known to take off my shoes and socks and walk around barefoot to avoid the heat...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-01-22 22:26:32 +0000 UTC]

Technically that leaves you closer to the heated ground, but I get your point. I kinda do too, but even if the weather made up its mind, you still usually get rather harsh temperature shifts between entering and exiting buildings.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-02-09 15:21:15 +0000 UTC]

oh thats true... and drastic change in temperatures actually lower your immunity

which is another reason I'm sick! AGAIN! grrrgh

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-03-14 00:08:49 +0000 UTC]

I thought the cold lowered your immunities, because all of your cells are busy trying to keep warm.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-03-30 16:12:49 +0000 UTC]

no I mean constant changing temperatures (hot and cold and back again) throws off your body cause it doesn't know what to do and then your immunity goes down

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-03-30 23:27:32 +0000 UTC]

A temperature shift can cause some chemical imbalances...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-03-31 19:10:41 +0000 UTC]

wah

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-03-31 20:51:29 +0000 UTC]

Your body adapts to the cold in all sorts of fancy and science-y ways. There are also chemicals in the body that cause different things when exposed to the cold. It's all rather interesting.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-04-01 17:27:00 +0000 UTC]

yes but when the temperature goes from cold to hot to cold again and back to hot to rapidly, your body gets confused and lowers your immunity... which is why louisiana sucks sometimes...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-04-05 20:40:07 +0000 UTC]

All kinds of places do that to people. Weather by nature is unpredictable.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-04-08 08:27:48 +0000 UTC]

true...but I dont like this climate
and now its alergy season...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-04-08 14:10:39 +0000 UTC]

I hate allergy season. It's starting to affect me now too. =/
I used to get lucky and somehow not get hit by it so much.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-04-12 03:33:49 +0000 UTC]

I was unaffected by it for a while...until the last year

but this year its classified as the "monster pollen" normally there are 180something molecules of pollen per square foot and that's considered high. This year they found 5000+

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-04-13 03:51:01 +0000 UTC]

It must've gone down, or I was just a little sick. I actually feel better right now.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-04-14 01:36:30 +0000 UTC]

thats good (getting better that is) then again the worst of the pollen is at the beginning...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-04-14 04:50:07 +0000 UTC]

Maybe I am vulnerable to it.

You know... Sometimes I worry about you. Like, when you were sick some time ago.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-06-10 04:28:18 +0000 UTC]

aww, thanks. I feel all warm and happy now

I am doing fine Robby, incredibly well actually! Things are finally looking good. And how are you my dear friend? I check dA mainly to talk to my dA friends...some of you are closer to me than a lot of people I know in person... >.<

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-06-11 06:44:01 +0000 UTC]

Well... After I went through feeling really bad, I've started to just hold back a bit on a lot of things. Try not to be too positive, or to make people talk to me, or even think about people. I've kinda fallen back into the habit of "just letting time pass" in life. It's not great, but indifference beats depression.

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-06-13 02:33:01 +0000 UTC]

sounds like you need a change of surroundings

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-06-13 16:31:23 +0000 UTC]

That'll cost a lot of money that I don't have.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-06-15 00:37:55 +0000 UTC]

unless you get paid for it...

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-06-15 01:29:13 +0000 UTC]

You mean, a job? Those aren't going to help me.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-06-19 12:21:08 +0000 UTC]

hey, it might... get a summer job somewhere out of state...go somewhere else, stay their for a while, meet some new people, try some new things...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-06-19 16:40:37 +0000 UTC]

A summer job out of state? That sounds interesting and all, but I don't know where I'd possibly look for something like that. I mean, it'd cost money to travel, to have a place to stay, to buy food... And we literally have nothing.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fly0away0 In reply to Robtcee13 [2010-06-19 22:12:00 +0000 UTC]

I got reimbursed

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Robtcee13 In reply to fly0away0 [2010-06-19 22:19:53 +0000 UTC]

You know where I could find something like that? I might be able to get a job, save money, but that's about all I could do.
