Last time, while I was eating lunch, saw the news reactor 3 of nuclear plant was exploded. Wishin' disaster almost settle only in Japan... be careful, if you're far away.

Let me appreciate your contribution in my capacity as one of Japanese.

The affair is really catastrophic...

That's a late reply.

Have you seen my recent experience with Susano-o mentioned in my journal? I'm really quite excited about it. Thankfully none of the storms have been bad here at all, though we are getting a lot of rain.

Yastaka In reply to Gentlewolf [2011-04-29 15:13:44 +0000 UTC]

It seems Susanowo is now in America.

I saw the news that tells tornadoes went through south of America, mmm, terrible.

hey I was thinking of you

Gentlewolf In reply to Yastaka [2011-04-29 15:28:30 +0000 UTC]

Aww, thanks! I'm so glad to be thought of.

I live up north, though. Right under Lake Michigan. Thankfully, whether or not it's part of Susano-o's influence or not, we've only had heavy rain.

It's a sun shiny day today though, with blue skies!

I'm going to buy a stone bench to put under Kodama-kun so I can have somewhere to sit when I go out to meditate under his branches. He's still in bloom and looking so pretty!

Gentlewolf In reply to Yastaka [2011-05-07 01:49:51 +0000 UTC]

Oh, um... sure... He is 33, soon to be 34, and is an ex navy special operations. He's been all over the world, including to Japan. I really envy him for that.

He is now a semi-truck driver, and is away from home a lot. I see him maybe 5 or 6 days a month.

Ummm, what would you like to know about him?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Yastaka In reply to Gentlewolf [2011-05-10 16:40:20 +0000 UTC]

Wow, he is of the same age, I was born in April of 1977.

Navy, it's cool.
Where did you meet him?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Gentlewolf In reply to Yastaka [2011-05-10 16:50:12 +0000 UTC]

I was afraid you wouldn't talk to me anymore. I've always made friends easier with guys then with other girls. My best friend for years was a guy.

His birthday is July 14th, 1977. I'm May 3rd, 1978...

How we met is a complicated story. I'm not sure how much you will understand. We met through my ex best friend and high school sweetheat... It's a very long story...

Yastaka In reply to Gentlewolf [2011-05-10 17:15:06 +0000 UTC]

Sorry, I was a little busy.
And, I don't have such purpose, so no need to worry,,, even if you're married.
We're friends, right?

The story can't be shortened?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Gentlewolf In reply to Yastaka [2011-05-10 17:24:24 +0000 UTC]

YEAH!! Honto ni arigatou!

Sorry, got a little excited. I'm very happy to have a friend from Japan!

Shorten the story... Anou... I wouldn't know where to begin...

My Best friend and high school sweetheart introduced Adam (my husband) and I. Adam and I became friends. My high school sweetheart and I were engaged to be married... and I was pregnant. A Lot of BS happened, and I called off the wedding. Then, a month after I had the baby, my high school sweetheart disappeared, leaving me and our daughter.

Adam had been helping me through a lot of things while I was pregnant, and when my high school sweetheart disappeared he stepped in and helped me even more, and we eventually ended up together.

That's as short as I can make it without getting complicated. Hope it's okay...

Yastaka In reply to Gentlewolf [2011-05-10 19:58:13 +0000 UTC]

yeah, I grasped the story roughly.

A little complicated actually,,, delicate.

Anyway, now you're happy, aren't you?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Gentlewolf In reply to Yastaka [2011-05-10 20:39:17 +0000 UTC]

I'm sorry... I wish I could communicate easier with you. I really wish I could learn Japanese, but I'm horrible with learning new languages.

Yes, I am mostly happy. I do love Adam very much. I believe he is one of my soul mates.

However, it's been difficult, he's away for work so much. I haven't seen him in two weeks now.

I am also a hopeless romantic. Unfortunately, he's not romantic at all. but that's okay, that's why I write romance.

Yastaka In reply to Gentlewolf [2011-05-18 05:13:39 +0000 UTC]

Soul mate that you said is related to Daoshadru?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Gentlewolf In reply to Yastaka [2011-05-18 06:52:54 +0000 UTC]

Ohayo... Oh... wait, it's afternoon over there... *is dead tired*

Soul Mate isn't just used in Daoshadru. It is a general term used by a lot of different people and beliefs.

Usually it indicates someone who you feel your soul/spirit is connected to. Depending on the belief, some people believe you only have one romantic soul mate, who you are meant to live your life with.

I believe a little differently. if you believe in reincarnation, is it not logical to say that you've had many different past lives? I do not believe that you only have on soul mate. I believe that we have many soul mates. People from pasts lifes that we have grown close to. Not just in a romantic way. But also past brothers, sisters, friends, parents, etc. They are people who you feel an attachment to that you can't explain.

Like when I first met Sifu. He came straight up to me and gave me a hug. Later he said that it felt like he knew me. Like I was someone that he once knew, but who he hadn't seen in a long time.

Soul Mates are also called Kindred spirits, or by other names by other cultures... but I'm really too tired right now and can't think of any right now...

Yastaka In reply to Gentlewolf [2011-05-27 18:37:37 +0000 UTC]

Good afternoon there.

I guess the soulmate is called in Japan as 'a couple tied by red thread'.
or, if it's not only about love affair, Buddhism will be related to.

But 'red thread' is somewhat Shinto-ic, not Buddhistic.

an example how to use the word;

"hey, I believed you were the man tied in red thread with me!"

I guess it's Orphic religion that's related to reincarnation in Europe.
Is your belief related to it?

Gentlewolf In reply to Yastaka [2011-05-27 19:41:46 +0000 UTC]

Ohayo Gozaimasu Yastaka kun.

Ahhh, Yes, the red string/thread theory. Yes, I have heard of it. [link] And yes, I believe it is the same.

However, I believe that we each have more then one "red thread" tied to each of us. It is my belief that we can have many different past lives. Look at how many thousands of years people have been walking the Earth. If you look at Newton's law that energy cannot be created or destroyed, and you believe that the spirit is a form of energy, then your spirit cannot be destroyed when your body dies. The body is just a vessel, and when that vessel dies the spirit moves on to another one and is reborn into a new life.

Over thousands of years of this happening, imagine how many lives you've lived. In each of those lives you've had parents, maybe siblings, and hopefully a lover. So It's my theory that each of us has gathered many "red threads." However, that does not mean that you are meant to be with all of them in this life at the same time.

I had an experience with someone who I felt I was tied to with a red thread. We were together for 3 years. However, the direction that my life was taking me, and the things that he wanted me to do, It wasn't what I was meant to do in this life. I truly did love him, but when given the choice of my life or my freedom, I chose my freedom. Eventually I found Adam. Another red thread that is tied to me, and he was the right one for me to be with.

Or at least that's what I believe. I don't know what this "Orphic Religion," is that you mentioned, but my beliefs have come from a variety of sources. I believe that there is some truth to every religion or belief and I (and one of the beliefs of Daoshadru) is to find and sort out those truths.

Sorry for late, Wolf chan.

I guess you remember that we have been talking about red thread... since 1 month ago.
Amazing, it's my impression that I have after reading your last answer.

... Anyway, I guess you can't forget the man.
I wonder why it is.
