Be as loose as possible. Just whip out some really general shapes that leap out at you and fit the features in. Sometimes I am way too conservative in my art. Let it go. If that head looks like a pickle then draw a pickle and then pare away at it to get to the features. That's my advice, as useless as it was..lol....
