The moment I discovered this club I proceeded to join forthwith! I watch Mst3k episodes every week in Second Life at Squeebee Wakawaka's Mystery Science Theater (he's even building a model of the SOL!)

Hello. Why not join the club?

whodagoose In reply to mst3k [2007-07-29 02:45:10 +0000 UTC]

I did join the MST3K fan club. Way back when 'Comedy central' was just the 'Comedy channel'. Late nights with Richard Hall, Clutch Cargo with the Higgens boys and Grubber, John Stewart hosting comedy clips before that Wesley guy. I've still got my card. I'm member #1584.

I'd be happy to join another MST3K club if this isn't the official one from long ago. How do I join?

mst3k In reply to whodagoose [2007-07-29 12:39:33 +0000 UTC]

Wow that's an old membership card! I feel like a newbie compared to you. Well what you do is just add us to your watch list. Then you're a member. And be sure to feature the club's icon in your journals or your list of clubs.

Oh god..... it's unimaginably horrible...... it's the worse thing to happen since Manos: The Hands of Fate....

Rick Sloane has just finished production on Hobgoblins 2!

Wait...why did it take him 20 years to make a sequel? When will it be released?
and..why?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Swing123 In reply to mst3k [2007-05-25 20:28:10 +0000 UTC]

I have no clue why he made a sequel or why it took him so long to do it. But I do know from the Internet Movie Database that it's going to have a direct-to-video release this summer.

I made a little joke a while ago saying that in an effort to boost ratings, they made a sequel to an infamous MST3K episode lol.

Should have a contest for WORST CHEESEY MOVIE EVER. That'd be 'Manos The Hands Of Fate' I am sorry, that was one really aweful episode to view. I was really feelin' it

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

NUTCASE71733 In reply to constantuncertanty [2007-03-20 19:34:18 +0000 UTC]

I find Hobgoblins to be worse than Manos.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

mst3k In reply to NUTCASE71733 [2007-03-27 12:30:51 +0000 UTC]

How so? Hobgoblins was just a cheezy and unbelievably bad 80's flick. Manos was pure unwatchable horror.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Busdriverfailure In reply to mst3k [2007-04-13 19:17:43 +0000 UTC]

Hobgoblins doesnt look like a Snuff film Gone horribly wrong >.>

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

mst3k In reply to Busdriverfailure [2007-04-14 12:58:35 +0000 UTC]

Right. Like what I said earlier. It's basically if you took all the sleazy and cheesy things about the 80's and mushed it all together into one pathetic film.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Busdriverfailure In reply to mst3k [2007-04-15 01:28:27 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, pretty much, like Final Sacrifice was Canada in a suckshell.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

mst3k In reply to Busdriverfailure [2007-04-17 15:54:53 +0000 UTC]

Zombie Nightmare was another terrible Canadian movie, but it least it had Adam West and Tia Carrera to make it easier to watch. And don't forget Motorhead blasting in the beginning credits.

NUTCASE71733 In reply to mst3k [2007-03-27 15:08:53 +0000 UTC]

I don't know why, but I found Hobgoblins to be much worse. Perhaps it might be in part of the strip club scene that makes me think this.

jhaumann In reply to constantuncertanty [2007-01-04 06:00:47 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I know! Maybe we will. "Manos" is quite the uncontested "worst movie ever" but movies such as "Monster A Go-Go" and "Red Zone Cuba" come awfully close.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

jhaumann In reply to jhaumann [2007-01-04 06:01:07 +0000 UTC]

LOL "Hey you leave Robert Denby alone!" I have no clue why that one agent was so hell-bent on defending Denby in "Riding With Death". Maybe they were lovers.

In case anyone hasn't heard, Volume 9 is out; I got it yesterday. The episodes on it are Women of the Prehistoric Planet, Wild Rebels, The Sinister Urge, and The Incredibly Strange Creatures Wo Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies. Yes, you read write; that is the whole title, and believe it or not, the movie is even worse!

jhaumann In reply to Bahmo [2006-06-07 13:27:17 +0000 UTC]

I hope one day they'll release such episodes like "The Final Sacrifice", "Soultaker", "The Quest Of The Delta Knights", and "Track Of the Moonbeast" on DVD.
