Yeah, and if a party of 5 decides to buy this together, it should be manageable with the pricing!

a party of 5 , 2 will get screwed over , 1 will get assassinated , 1 will captured by the fuzz , and i will be the detector in charge of returning the chocolate to the rightful owner ( needless to say , the chocolate will go missing after that ) !!!

If it's not too much trouble could you please answer a few questions, it would help me greatly in my research.

1. Why do you like dragons? (if you like dragons that is)

2. What is your theory about why dragon are so popular? (in movies, art, culture, books etc)

3. How did you get into dragons?

4. what style of dragon do you prefer to draw? (western, eastern, wyvern etc)

Thank you!! ^^Β

ExplodedPineapple In reply to ghostdragoness16 [2015-06-06 21:04:11 +0000 UTC]

Heyo! Sure thing! Ask away !

1. Fun to design. In both looks and abilities.

2. Heh. That s a nice question for the character-designer in me! As designer I can say: They are tons of fun to design! - Mostly because you can do whatever you want. There are no real borders on what you can, or should, do (Yeah, except the basic rules of anatomy and how stuff works. But that s pretty much the only limitation you have !). As for the popularity in general: I guess it s human fascination for the unknown.

3. I think this started with either the German cartoon "Tabaluga" which featured a green/yellow dragon or the "Spyro the dragon" videogames. I always loved the concept of dragons (and dinosaurs)

4. I mostly draw western or wyvern-style. But I also like Mongolians !

I hope this helped^^!

animation related work experience, am I correct?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ExplodedPineapple In reply to Guidifier [2015-09-12 14:59:14 +0000 UTC]

In the very best case, yes. If not, I m trying to find a job as an Illustrator. Should be no big problem I guess.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Guidifier In reply to ExplodedPineapple [2015-09-12 15:06:42 +0000 UTC]

I'm certain you have more than enough skills to become an excellent illustrator. I do hope you can become an animator though.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ExplodedPineapple In reply to Guidifier [2015-09-12 15:14:56 +0000 UTC]

I guess and hope so! As for animation: My current problem: I m an inexperienced rigger. So is the rest of my group. Animating is only fun if you get a rig that works. Right now, I m missing the rigs. That s why I want to sculpt more, rig those things right and go straight to animation!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Guidifier In reply to ExplodedPineapple [2015-09-12 16:12:18 +0000 UTC]

you do realise sculpting has little if anything to do with rigging, right?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ExplodedPineapple In reply to Guidifier [2015-09-12 18:02:08 +0000 UTC]

Yes, yes. But if I let someone else sculpt it, I have to make sure they sculpt the way I got only a minimum of trouble while rigging. I m quite perfectionistic in that matter, so I can t really stand untidy edgeflows or missing loops at places where there will be a lot of motion later on. And besides, I also want to get better at sculpting as well. I also want to get through the complete production-pipeline. Helps you get a job later on if you not only know your own field, but also know about the rest of the pipeline and what those people do and what s important to them.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Guidifier In reply to ExplodedPineapple [2015-09-16 18:26:08 +0000 UTC]

a word of advice, always factor in the idiots who do not know Zbrush from their grandmother when in a group! you may expect everyone to be perfectly capable, sadly that hardly ever is true.
it is for said reason that I agree you should not only excel at your own field, but at least be familiar with the rest of the flow.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Guidifier In reply to ExplodedPineapple [2015-10-05 19:10:26 +0000 UTC]

besides, you may stumble upon people who believe they're the only one who know a particular skill, or know how to work with a product. if such a person decides to go over his head, you can always fire him!

ExplodedPineapple In reply to Guidifier [2015-10-05 19:32:48 +0000 UTC]

ExplodedPineapple In reply to Guidifier [2015-10-06 15:47:51 +0000 UTC]

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Guidifier In reply to ExplodedPineapple [2015-10-06 18:05:23 +0000 UTC]

you did not prove them wrong, did you?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ExplodedPineapple In reply to Guidifier [2015-10-06 18:11:48 +0000 UTC]

Well, I m still on the job so I guess I m doing alright! In the south we have a saying: " Not gscholda isch globt gnug!" (It s writen in heavy southern accent. Don t even try to translate this!). It means something like "not nagging is enough praise". All in all this means, no one will praise you for your work ever. So I m just going by "I m not fired yet, everybody lets me do my job so I guess I m good to go". But the person that actually got me in said, I m helping her quite a lot.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Guidifier In reply to ExplodedPineapple [2015-10-06 18:47:11 +0000 UTC]

I agree with the quote! if your connection feels you're being helpful, then you must be of some help, or you'd be on the street by now!
I forgot to ask, what exactly do you do as an employee?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ExplodedPineapple In reply to Guidifier [2015-10-06 19:17:17 +0000 UTC]

Exactly! As for the job, I spend the hours editing text. We get the raw articles and we have to edit them so they fit the format of the newspaper. - This also serves to give the whole thing an uniform look. Some clients really love to go overboard with clipart, extra-symbols (today I had a list where the single points were marked with a heart. Cute, but it doesn t fit into the template. So I as the poor moron of the job had to swap out the cute little hearts with the standard "-" ). Another one from today was a text completely without spaces. Yes,thetextlookedsomethinglikethisanditdrovemeclosetoinsanitytofixthis. Seriously, sometimes I feel like I m not getting paid enough for the shit I have to put up with. It s also funny to see computer-illiterate people write articles that you have to edit later on. Usually, the articles come with some sort of contact-information (usually a name and a phone-number. In most cases you also get a homepage or mail-adress.) Last week I was editing an article of Die GrΓΌnen. I loved their homepage-link they provided me with to print! It went something like this: www.google.com/diegruenen/smash-your-face-on-the-keyboard-copy-paste-google-link-ndsauifhzq984w532058rnvr8t98ncw09rnv7s98trz768977re56s cuzizrecrwevrdbfgnuhioΓΆ897665red fvbjnko0899865erd - It went on for five straight lines! - And well, I m the editor, I don t proofread stuff. So it got printed that way. Our office laughed at this so much!

Guidifier In reply to ExplodedPineapple [2015-10-08 15:02:27 +0000 UTC]

someone actually used hearts instead of dashes? and someone else forgot to use spaces? in that case, you are absolutely correct, you're not getting paid enough!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ExplodedPineapple In reply to Guidifier [2015-10-10 09:30:08 +0000 UTC]

Who are you telling this? Okay, scratch no-space and hearts-for-dash-guy: The number one spot has to go to " I don t know how to use the editorial software the whole office has to use to work with, so here s the article I want you guys to print in pdf. Have fun copying all the text out of it and have even more fun with the shitty quality pictures in said pdf! - Oh yeah, I m gonna call next week and give you hell if the printed version doesn t look like what I dens you."- guy
