So how was your Halloween? Did you celebrate the festivities or was it just another day of days?

You're very welcome! BTW, I plan to comment on it and other vaguely-recent deviations over this weekend, as I had little time to do so before.
Well, it started odd, as it was 16 °C when I woke up at 08:00, which shouldn't happen. For some reason, no professor in Uni cancelled class, so I had to take a Calculus II test (that I thankfully feel I did rather well on). After returning to my dorm at 15:00, I walked to get Chinese food from a stand, when it started torrentially raining. As I had no raincoat or even closed-toed shoes on, I was soaked. But I like the rain. After dinner, I sorta attended a dorm Halloween party for a time, but didn't really participate —many other people had costumes, for instance, and there was pumpkin-carving and apple-bobbing, which I didn't do. Then, right when I was about to watch a The Twilight Zone marathon, my parents arrived, who I hadn't seen for 21/2 months. We went through continued torrential rain to get ice cream and talk about what had transpired, and I had returned in time to watch 11/2 episodes. Then my roommate kept me up until 02:45 and woke me at 07:30, making me rather sleep-deprived. So, overall it was not perfect, but great in part due to its memorable events.
For most people, Eastern North America had very poor trick-or-treating weather this Halloween. A cold front from the northwest plowed through that aforementioned moist, warm air, causing heavy rain near the coast and snow to blanket my hometown. Where I am was one of the hardest-hit areas, being the wettest place in the US for that day and recording 95 mm, while Beauceville to the northeast was the 4th wettest place on Earth (and the wettest outside the tropics) for it, recording 141 mm. But the plus side to that was that my Chinese professor had a lot of excess candy which he distributed to students in class today.

That is a lot to happen that day
Hopefully, I get to finally collect myself a costume to get to a Halloween party next year. I genuinely feel I don't want to go there if not dressed respectively.
My festivities was pretty similar to yours; while my whole morning to afternoon was dedicated to finishing my Special, the midday, me and my dad went to get groceries for our diner; filled Tortillas and I couldn't get around making my guacamole to it :3 Then we basically just ate and watched the Grindhouse double feature with Robert Rodriguez' Planet Terror and Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof. Both are very good films in my opinion, and wonderful to watch once a year to get surprised how good they actually are again and again. Last hours of the day, I played a Zombie game and that's about it. Surely not as eventful as your day was but an enjoyable one nonetheless.
I heard about the bad weather too from a Canadian friend. He said, the festivities were moved to the day after... which was even worse unfortunately.

Photo Contest: Reflections, mirrors and shapes!I just looove reflections, mirror effects and silhuettes and that's why I'd like to start a non-halloween contest about exactly that topic. The rules are easy:
* Only photographic work is allowed.

* Also, at least one of the three topics (reflections, mirrors or/and shapes) have to be resembled in your picture(s).
