Also! Be on DAILY (even if it's just to check messages) and update often (once a week at minimum). The more people see you around, the more interested they will be.

First off, you really have to put yourself out there. Go around and look at other people's works, leaving comments and favorites. When they see you are interested in them, they'll appreciate it and who knows, you might get a new friend.

I am a completely Forum whore. Forums are the BEST places to make new friends. Complaints and Deviants are the best (in my opinion) but there are some other good ones.

And of course, if you're just a damn amazing artist, then you'll be fine. Ha!
