Getting over her embarrassment, she flapped the wings a few times, a powerful breeze sweeping from them and towards the group.  She glanced out the window; the storm and rain seemed to have stopped, but it was just cloudy now.  Turning back towards the group, she grinned and said, "That's not the half of it."  Remembering where she'd come in, she suddenly began sprinting towards the door, flapping her wings, she pushed open the double-doors with her fist and continued running onto the lawn.  She then leapt and flapped her wings strongly, taking off into the air with a whoosh of wind.  She was laughing now, as she circled above the large school, feeling giddy; she hadn't felt this free in a long time.

She suddenly stopped mid-flight, glanced at the ground, then dove downward, her wings tucked to her sides.  Just feet away from the ground, she suddenly 'pulled up', flapping her wings and landing on the ground lightly.  As she heard Chris' question, she grinned and answered with one word, "Free."

Charles clapped and erik nodded. the little kids were oohing and awwing. Ororo tugged at Chris "is she staying is she?" she asked
Charles chuckled and looked to Serena "thats is her choice."

Serena's eyes went wide, obviously surprised.  "Stay?  Here?"  She looked from one face to all the others, drawing out the anticipation, then smiled widely.  "I will if you'll have me."
