Hey man, I picked up Maitenance for the first time the other day and loved it...then discovered your blog and all the art there. I love your style and lines--the preview work on Polly looks amazing and I'm both intrigued and scared of Frankie, LOL!

Got a quick question about the Modbook. Do you think it's worth it/ I have a cintiq. but having something portable is something I kind of crave.

its on par with a Intuos IMOP. I have a the 21in cintiq also and I dont regret getting the mod book. Much like the 1st month I got the cintiq I was wondering if I wasted my money since there is a learning curve but since Ive gotten over that hump its been all gravy. If you get one I would recommend getting the studio pen as its a bit more sensitive then the built in pen. Your hand is also use to it since its the same size as the cintiq pen. If you get one just make sure you load it up on the ram since its based on the macbook and not the pro. You will miss the side buttons and slide and may hate having to go back to using hot keys on a keyboard. You could wait till the modbook pro comes out were it will have both touch and pen functions at the same time. But last i read that will run 4K.

Love the paints hoss and maybe one day you could give a lesson on that.

oh I'll have to look up the studio Pen. I've been using the default one. That big of a diff eh?
hahah I'm ashamed to say this. But I really don't use much of the short cuts on the cintiq. I still use the keyboard

Ah. then you'd be set if you get the modbook.just look up world computing modbook on google and you should find a place in chicago. IL that start pricing at 1600. Not sure if there a place cheaper in Canada.

Hoss is a southern turm. A complementary one.

Mod book is awesome, about to buy it but I have to look at my budget for this semester. I'm thinking next semester with photoshop CS 4, however since CS 4 is a monster I don't think it'll be able to handle it.

order it here, [link] and you get it loaded up with 4-6 gigs of ram like I did it will run CS4 just as well as mac book pro would.

Hmm I'll look into it. I'm mostly a pc user. But from what I understand mac's can easily run windows. Hopefully there's somewhere intown that I can look and try out and play around. I'd love to be able to take it out to paint.
